Hmmm.... I'm not sure about that one. I have never heard of that word.

There is 目的(もくてき), that can mean "an aim/a purpose". Then there is 目視 (もくし)which means to see with your eyes. When we hear "aim", the first word that comes to our mind would be 狙い (ねらい).

You're right,目的 (もくてき) means " an aim "

Now I know! You meant 目指す(めざす)! You need the す at the end for it to mean anything.
