Superman Returns (part V)

Not bad, Brandon Routh is a good selection they made to follow up Christopher Reeve, much better then the one from the TV series (can't remember the name...)

Kate Bosworth wouldn't have been my pick if I would had to choose a Lois Lane though, but as the movie advanced, I started to see some good characteristics in her to be in the "reporter type" character.

Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor...that is a pretty good selection to, although for some reason I always associate him with the characters he played in K-PAX and Pay It Forward...so not the bad guy at all, but he played it well in here though.

Generally to me the storyline isn't bad, but there is a little to much in it, they go from one thing to another and at the end I still was like..."yeah and uhhh, what now?"

Some surprising elements though, where I wondered "where did they do that in the previous movie" Like now he has...

i found the new James Bond(007) daniel craig he looks like the president of Russia(lol) the movie was good but not as good as the real actors: Sean Connery, Roger Moore.. its really pity that Pierce Brosnan put a stop to his Bond-imago. but i've heared that Orlando Bloom(Will Turner=Pirates of the carribean,Legolas=Lord of the rings) would play the younger James Bond(007)

I have a feeling the last film I saw at the cinema was also Casino Royale.
Daniel Craig is the first Bond to be nominated for a BAFTA, so he must have done a good job. There was a lot of moaners about the fact that he was blond, but that shouldn't detract from what is a good action film, which a Bond film should be.
Daniel plays a much more vicious Bond than the Pierce Brosnan, who was starting to get too many gadgets to play with. Going more of the way of the Timothy Dalton Bond, also more edgier and vicious than previous incarnations, but with more grit. Gadgets are kept down to a minimum, which helps keep the film moving on, and this Bond is not afraid to go to any lengths to get the job done. I felt the end was a little tagged on, but it doesn't distract from the main body of the film. The biggest shock? He totals an Aston, he TOTALS an ASTON!!!!
All in all everything you'd expect from a Bond film along with a few surprises in the way Craig plays his Bond. If he keeps up with the franchise he could make on of the best actors to play Bond, although no-one can beat Sean Connery, after all he was the first.

Rocky!!

Well i had a rocky marathon(1-6) last time including the newest one(Rocky Balboa). We watched it in order so Rocky Balboa is the last movie i saw hehe.

Plot: Rocky has been in retirement from boxing for a long time. He is a legenday boxer and in this Rocky, he steps out of retirement to do one last fight for his career. The boxer he fights is current heavyweight champion Mason Dixon.

What I Think: I reckon Sly(Sylvester Stallone) did an amazing job in this Rocky. Burt Young also did. This movie is the most meaningful out of the Rocky series. A movie everyone should watch but dont watch it before watching the other Rocky movies.

The last movie I saw (although not for the first time) was Antz.

I like this movie. Woody Allen taking on the role of an ant who ends up changing the entire social order of his colony is very interesting, and it fits his movie persona to a T. Or should I say to a Z.

Sylvester Stallone was a good supporting voice actor, as was Gene Hackman, and the guy who did the voice for Cutter.

The idea that such huge dramas can take place in such a small area is refreshing, and the way that humans are treated as a kind of mysterious force of nature was very good, too. I liked the fact that the insects could not interact with humans, but were merely subject to dealing with the effects of humankind, not that that's a big part of the story, but it added a strange sense of...dare I say realism...to the movie.

Last movies I watched where Casino Royale and Saw III.

Casino Royale did disappoint me somewhat, as I was expecting even before seeing it, it just didn't had any real Bond feeling to me, this was just like some random action movie to me and I don't think I would ever get used to "James Blond" ...I dunno, I rather prefer the original Bond style and same goes for the villain in this movie, he just wasn't evil enough and he got pwned so quick and easily...also what happened with the usual world domination? Also I think they should have made the theme in the late 50's to early 60's, as the first Bond was made in the 60's and this is supposed to be what happened before he became the 007 we know in Dr. No, what doesn't make much sense in walking around with GPS, GSM...etc. in that time.

Saw III I enjoyed more, as it was more like an extension of the first Saw movie (still the best) and a lot better then the second one, while in most cases it just gets worse with every sequel they make in this genre. From some sequences I was like "eewww", while I used to have seen all Faces and Traces Of Death documentaries in the past...so looks like this kind of stuff isn't really for me anymore, but nevertheless as said, a good movie in its genre.

That last movie I saw in the theatre was "The Pursuit of Happyness" (I think that's the English title. It's ﾂ幸窶堋ｹ窶堙娯?堋ｿ窶堋ｩ窶堙ｧ in Japanese.)

It was really good! I hope to be as good a father as the character portrayed by Will Smith was!

I went to see 'The Departed', good movie, language was foul, but
the ending was just stupid. I don't want to write down here what happened
as there may be people here who have not seen it yet.
Don't rush out to see it though, I'd just wait for the video.

I'll probably see the movie A Night At The Museum to one of these days...so is it worth it and a good comedy? Or did they show the best parts in the trailers?

Constantine...very good movie with Keanu Reever and Rachel Weisz.

I watched Glengarry Glen Ross over the last two nights through very sleepy eyes. From the page on Wiki:

The film shows parts of two days in the lives of four desperate real estate agents (Pacino, Lemmon, Harris and Arkin) who are prepared to engage in any number of unethical and/or illegal acts (from lies and flattery to bribery, threats and intimidation to burglary) in order to sell undesirable real estate to unwilling prospective buyers ("leads"). The put-upon office manager (Spacey) waits for them to make their sale after the hardnosed corporate boss (Baldwin) gives marching orders to do their jobs.

My tiredness may have been the problem, but I was really disappointed with it. Really well-lit at times, stunningly so, and undeniably stylish in some senses, I thought it was horribly over-acted in parts, and not an especially engaging story either

Still, at least the DVD came free in the newspaper...

Notes on a Scandal.

I loved it.

I have seen Notes on a Scandal too and loved it as well. But the last movie I saw (or rather didn't) was the Grindhouse. I left after 10 minutes - too much disgusting stuff for me to handle.

I saw the hills have eyes 2...well acutally i ended up falling asleep on my bf so i really didnt SEE it...>.<

Sunshine starts with a none-too-original end-of-the-world scenario - the sun is dying. It follows the crew of an ill-fated spaceship that aims to kick-start our source of light and heat with a bomb the size of Manhattan. An accelerating sense of inevitable doom accompanies the heroes, interspersed with a sense of wonder at sights such as Mercury crossing the sun, and a twist ending which strains continuity and any lingering hopes of originality or believability.
But firstly the good bits. Special effects are stunning. Literally. It's as if Kubrick 2001: A Space Odyssey had risen from the archives, imbued with every wonder known to modern technology and NASA video footage. It is so visually awesome that if I watched it again it would be with earplugs so I could enjoy it without distraction.
And the distraction is legion. If we have moved into an era where no-one hears you scream in space, apparently director Danny Boyle has not been told. An overpowering, constantly intrusive soundtrack provides wooshes, whistles, rumbles and imaginative electronic audio sensations for every piece of action, inside or outside the craft. Lugubrious editing justifies each fresh thunderous boom, for we are invited to admire every beautifully created visual sensation for rather longer than the weak plot on its own can sustain.
Characters are so underdeveloped that I constantly searched for someone to care about. One girl (who looks barely out of college) takes a momentary stand to save the life of one of her fellow astronauts, so I rooted for her to survive. Most of these astronauts I would not have let loose on my nephew's model train set, much less a PlayStation or - heaven forbid - a spaceship. That Boyle and writer Alex Garland (28 Days Later...) are totally out of their depth becomes clear as they throw some naff religious psychosis into the mix. Scientists saving earth? I'd rather trust a poodle. Not that we are ever told why the ship needs to be manned in the first place.
Even if the acting was above the barely passable, the script offers little scope. And the spaceship is named Icarus. That's a bit like building an ocean liner and calling it Sinker.
Danny Boyle hit the limelight with Shallow Grave and then achieved well-deserved international fame with Trainspotting. He has been quoted as saying, "Once you've had anything like a hit in the movie business it's so easy to get lost. All these people are scuttling around trying to get you to make things, suggesting things and offering deals. The pressure of what to do next is horrible." Pressure or not, it would seem his choices have been increasingly poor. From a movie that that set new standards in its incisive portrayal of Scottish drug addicts, he has dabbled in areas where his weaknesses are all too glaringly obvious. Gone is the annoying DV format which looked irritatingly grainy in the similarly dystopian 28 Days Later ... : Sunshine is visually dazzling. But whereas the cross-genre attempts in his earlier sci-fi still retained many fans, this lacklustre effort seems set to reduce them. A waste of consummate artwork and photography, Sunshine ultimately needs more than a giant bomb to make it enjoyable.

I rented (Ahum... downloaded) Casino Royal yesterday, the new James bond film and I have to say that I think it was a great movie.

I am happy that old fuzzy guy Pierce brosman has left and blond guy Daniel Craig has taken over the position of James bond.

A lot of action in the movie ( I like the first part where they use "Parkour" that they also use in Yamakasi) there is a lot of romance in the movie (maybe too much love because he even says: "I love you") and the story line is fairly good. I think the new James Bond is more definitely more of this time, and I like that.

This is"A Face In The Crowd", with Andy Griffeth being the main character (Lonesome Rhodes). This movie is showing the story of real-life Arthur Godfrey.

Daniel Craig is great, I've always loved him since I saw him as the Bishop/Assasin in the movie Elizabeth, staring Cate Blanchett.

You should check out Layer Cake, great british 'gangster' movie, in the theme of say Snatch, Lock Stock & Two Smoking barrels...

The Last movie I watched was last night, was a movie I've seen many times before, called Empire of the Sun, which was directed by Steven Spielberg, and concerns the life of author JG Ballard, who was living in Shanghai during the Japanese invasion, based on the book of the same name.

Based on J. G. Ballard's autobiographical novel, tells the story of a boy, James Graham, whose privileged life is upturned by the Japanese invasion of Shanghai, December 8, 1941. Separated from his parents, he is eventually captured, and taken to Soo Chow confinement camp, next to a captured Chinese airfield. Amidst the sickness and food shortages in the camp, Jim attempts to reconstruct his former life, all the while bringing spirit and dignity to those around him

If i see a movie with Andy Griffith playing a serious role, all I can think of is the "Mayberry" show. He became typecast forever in that.

Actually saw a few this week... it's almost pay day!!

1. The Holiday - Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Jack Black, Kate Winslett. Not your typical romantic comedy, quite entertaining!

2. Music and Lyrics - Hugh Grant & Drew Barrymore. Excellent, really funny, quirky and Hugh Grant being Hugh Grant is just great, almost forgive him for his awkward 4 weddings style roles of old!

3. Marie Antoinette - Kirsten Dunst. Well that's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back, enough said!!!
