Its me again lol. I have been translating "Konna ni chikaku de" by Crystal Kay and I wondered if any of you could tell me what you think? There is one part I'm not very certain about which I'll high light in red.

けれども友達のまま作り笑いはこれ以上
Even so, can staying as friends like this and forcing a smile last for much longer...

Whenver, whenever will this love run its course?

I'm not sure how this could be conveyed...いつでも means "whenever" and 続けてた means something along the lines of "has continued"...Maybe this line should be "How long, How long will this love continue?"

あなたに あなたに 届けたい気持ちを
To you, to you I want this feeling to reach...

青い空へと囁いた
...whispered towards the sky.

I'm so in love with you.

いつでも: always/in anytime
愛し続けてた: the contraction of 愛し続けていた
愛し続けていた: the past form of 愛し続けている

So, the line means something like
Always, always I continued to love you

だって他の誰よりあなたの事を知ってるから
But because I know you more than anyone else

In this case, だって means simply "because".

もう二度と笑顔には戻れないかもしれない
Your smiling face probably wont ever return again.

笑顔 would be probably "my smiling face".

What is the function of the "ku" at the end of 締め付けてく. I sort of made a probable guess with this line. I know Shimetsukete means to "increase pressure" or to "press against". The only thing I can think of is that it might be a contraction of 締め付けて行く。。。But that is probably wrong...

You're right. "他の誰よりあなたの事を知ってるから" can have tha same meaning without "だって".

The only thing I can think of is that it might be a contraction of 締め付けて行く。。。

You got it!
As same as in the case of 愛し続けてた, such like "te-form of verb + いる/いた", "te-form of verb + いく/いった" tends to be contracted in conversation.

愛し続けている → 愛し続けてる
締め付けていった → 締め付けてった

Ah, 知ってる is also the contraction of 知っている.;-)
