Koizumi Pays Farewell Call on "Close Friend" Bush

I never knew that Bush and Koizumi are "close friends". Since when are two leaders "close friends", no matter how close the alliance.

Speaking of close alliance, I have to say the Japanese and the US are really really close allies now. I doubt such a close friendship and alliance could have been imagined 60 years ago when the two countries were staunch enemies. Japan even supported all of America's wars when the rest of the world didn't.

Prime Minister Visits Canada and the United States

On the morning of June 30 (Japan time: early morning of July 1), Prime Minister Koizumi arrived in Memphis, Tennessee in the southern part of the US on Air Force One with the President and Mrs. Bush.

In Memphis, Prime Minister Koizumi visited Graceland, the residence of Elvis Presley.
