Hi!
(There may already be a thread about this - I looked but couldn't find one - sorry if this is a duplicate.)

Now that my first level Japanese class has finished until September, I thought that rather than letting my learning slide, I would try and learn some basic kanji, because I can learn those by myself, it's not so important to have a class, as for the speaking and listening. 😌

Can anyone recommend good online kanji tutorials, that start off with basic kanji and explain the stroke order and the different readings?

Many thanks! :)

Well when I was first learning I used this site:
The Most Common Kanji to Know

There are lots of flash card sites too, although the tuttle kanji cards were actually better.

But its certainly best to actually by a book on Kanji rather than just using the online resources, they won't be that great by themselves.

Edit: Oh, I just remembered, WWWJIDC shows animated stroke order diagrams for about 1000 Kanji too.
