Ok, I know there's already a topic for this scholarship, I've been participating in it, but students who applied in previous years aren't reading it most probably, and I need an answer from them.
So here's the thing that's killing me. People I was talking with on this forum started being called and were told the results a month ago. I was called by the embassy around the same time and asked if I still wanted the scholarship, I answered yes, and they said they'll call again when more info arrives. But there was no movement after that for a month. I'm reluctant in calling the embassy because they didn't told me officially that the results come in august, they actually didn't told me anything, just to wait to be called. I just can't tell them "hey, I read on a forum that lots of people already got responses a month ago…what's up with mine?". If that lady told me to wait to be called again, I don't feel very comfortable by bugging her…
So, does anyone have any idea what might be happening? Why so many people from various countries were given responses at that time, and I was given just a question and then silence for a month?
I know you don't work for the japanese ministry and can't know all the possible situations, but I'm hoping some of you are more experienced with this scholarship and maybe know something that I don't. Should I call the embassy despite being told to wait, or wait a little longer? Is this situation strange or someone else too experienced some like this?
