I thought you may like to see this. It is a very long (5m) scroll that seems to be a procesion of characters and monsters from mythology (as well as lots I don't recognise.) I would love to know what you all think. I have been unable to translate the text so far. As you can imagine the photos attached don't show the whole scroll so if you are interested in seeing the full thing have a look here:

It is nice. The only way to appreciate them is to read the side explanations on the books. The texts on them are much different from ones today most of Japanese call. Not being printed with readable fonts, when Hiragana are used as their captions, I can hardly see them.
 
Thanks Yamada, I now believe it to be a version of "Hyakkiyakô" or "Hyakkiyagyô

Really !!

That's a picture of the first JREF costume party where we all got drunk on bad saki. I'm the guy in blue on the far right. Boy were we all sick and hung over the next day!
