A few questions I've wondered about:

1:Would flying a Rising Sun flag be considered in extremely poor taste?

2:Are there Japanese Veteran Societies?

3: Does anyone still feel that Japan should re-arm?

Definitely,Japan WILL EVENTUALLY RE-ARM,probably with US's padding on their shoulders.

In recent years, there has been on and off debate in Japanese DIET to scrap or modify ARTICLE 9 in their constitution imposed on Japan by US occupation forces.

Bad 'ol United States....

Of course, the Japanese people have no free, democratically elected government and no means to amend their constitution according to their own desires.

1. I wouldnt think so, but it depends how much japanese care about their WW2 symbols, its probably safer to go with the red sun-disk on a plain whtie background though rather then the sunray one, which is used by the Japanese navy still, so it isnt so taboo the military dont use it.

2. Maybe, but I dont know if theres many japanese veterans left, now I think about it probably not, but they are still around giving their experiences and memories to those who seek them, a reminder that war isnt so great as to be worth such human loss.

3. Since Japan has a pretty large and modern self defence force, equal to any standard military, I'de say it already has, if you mean it should make a massive military build-up and invade its neighbours...apart from the chance of this occuring being slim to nil, no, its probably not a good idea what with the red-dragon across the sea with the largest army in the region, if not the world, and generally war being bad for modern bussiness.
