japanese mahjong

im trying to find an english version of the game because the japanese version is filled with kanji and i dont understand the game completely so i have no idea what is going on sometimes. for example I won but i lost money...?
the only english version i can find isnt the real mahjong game i am looking for... its a four player game.

if u have been to japan you would know what i am talking about
is there a free english version out there?

Mahjong is a Chinese game. I don't think there is an English version. If there it, it would be full of letters (too hard to fit words) and would look uncool.

"Dry Swimming".

I never play mahjong, but I have a lot of friends who're addicted to it.

Mahjong is international (Taiwan, Japan, China and U.S.). Basic rules are the same, but minor rules can be different from one region to another.

When my friends couldn't get four people to play, they play with the computer. I think you can play it alone with the computer, but I don't play so I don't know whether it's a free online game or a software...

i'm hooked but i can NEVER find 3 people to play with. could you ask your friends about that software? i would love to get my hands on it...

(on the english part: there is none that i know of, you just get an english rulebook for your chinese game)

i know the kanji on the tiles and everything. The kanji i was talking about is when i play the japanese software of the mahjong game.
eg. setting differant options for the game.

I know how to play but there are little things i dont understand. so im not looking for an english version but an english software...
just playing the computer if fine

ah, i thought you ment the board game, not the software version of it..

i bet what you're finding is the one that's like mah-jong solitaire, right? where you have to match up the tiles in a pyramid.. that one sucks

if you find a software that'll let you play netgames tell me and i'd love to face you

Sorry, I can窶冲 because lately I am avoiding this particular group. They窶决e forcing me to go see a fortuneteller with them in H.K. in this summer. (That窶冱 why I am always hanging in here). But I will see them again in the fall and I will ask and post it in here even if you already lost interest. :haihai:
