Japan Photos 2020

@イエンス If you get the chance, there's a place in Hakone that's well known for pampas grass--sengokuhara/仙石原. I've never been there, but it's an easy google.

This is clipped from a movie, that's a local cycle path a week or two ago. Very windy that day! Hard to ride, but the wind in the grass was mesmerizing.

When we went there (pre-corona) it was crowded with local and Chinese tourists trampling all over the pampas grass to attain their 15-second Instagram fame.

wish the plants strong enough to regrow. i've seen similar tourists climb sakura trees in japan. i saw many locals very pissed but they didn't voice. later, i understood why. there were 1000s of them doing similar thing to 100s of sakura trees. :.(

Taken two weeks ago. The urna on its forehead is made of 6 kg of silver.

Of course, we have an article, too:

this one gives me a very special feeling

I like the Big Apple. Is there a Big Mikan anywhere in Tokyo?

Great shots, thank you for sharing them! You seem to be very fond of Ando Tadao.
