That contraption is some sort of gigantic elevator storage facility for flatbed trailers close to Shinagawa wharf.



Our neighbourhood temple this afternoon.

Wonderful photos, love the beach shot! As a "Kantoite" I had to look up what a "shisa" was. Discovered a new shrine in our neighbourhood dedicated to Daikoku (窶佚･ﾂ坂?｢窶弖), the God of Fortune:

I thought I wrote their name: Shibazakura (芝桜)
I think in English they're called "pink moss".
 
Found this gem by chance today: the Kyu-Yasuda Teien Gardens; formerly a daimyo residence, then taken over by the Yasuda family, now a public garden, located in Sumida-ku, Tokyo, just north of the Sumo Kokugikan and the Edo-Tokyo Museum.

Ohhh! I went to the Yuki Matsuri in Sapporo earlier this month as well.
It was great!



Takeda Castle in Hyogo Prefecture is also known as "The Castle in the Sky" or "Machu Picchu of Japan".

Nothing special today, just a harbinger of spring, on my commute somewhere in Yokohama. And snowfall the same afternoon!
