Hello, everyone!
My name is Sarah, I'm 20 years old, and I feel very awkward (don't you always feel awkward when you're introducing yourself like this?).
I am joining the Japan Forum because I'm planning on moving to Japan within the next couple of years (hopefully next year, but possibly not until the year after that), and I need all the help I can get.
I'm learning Japanese, struggling with Kanji (my memory for images is absurdly inadequate), and of course, I love both the ancient and modern culture of the country. In fact, I would have to say that I'm a very atypical otaku, because I became interested in the ancient culture of Japan long before I discovered the fascination of its modern culture - I've always secretly (or not-so-secretly, maybe) wanted to be a samurai .
But, I would say that that's quite enough for the time being, wouldn't you?
It's lovely to meet everyone, have a good night (or day, if you wish).

i want to japan too one day but that will be a long time if it can ever happen. I don't really know how i could go over. I think the easiest thing is to teach English over there. I love the culture to there too, every thing's so different u kno? I would really love to go visit there and tired to convince my family to but no luck.lol

Good luck with moving over there! (^-^)

I wish you luck with Kanji! I found a few ways to learn them easier, and if you'd like to know them: Please message me. My name is Yume. I hope you find Jref to be very helpful. The members are nice too! :)

Thank you!

Taybay, I hope you will be able to fulfill your dream of visiting Japan, as well.
