Not quite sure how these are supposed to go.... well, here goes nothing.
Hi guys! I'm new here. My name is Retsof and I am an 18 yr old Texan that is interested in japan. I've never actually been to japan (not unless you count narita airport), but I would love to visit at some point. I like to learn about peoples and cultures that are alien to my own and have spent times in other asian countries (vietnam, thailand, cambodia) but there is just something about japan's history, culture and people that I find interesting.I am currently trying to learn japanese (at a snail's pace) and I hope that this forum will help me learn about japanese language, culture, and history.
With that, I'll dive into the great unknown and take a look at the forum. Thanks guys!
