Welcome to Jref yekhaung san !! I hope that you stick around and get to know many of us, and by doing so, make friends around the globe !!

I live in Nagano, Japan--where the Japan Alps are--and have been for a good long while. I am married to a Japanese girl from here (Shiga) and we have three wild and crazy boys.

I teach English as a Foreign Language at a local university. Also, I have one student from Myanmar here--her English is quite good too.

Please check out the whole forum and post when you feel like it. I hope to hear more from you !! See you 'round !! MM

From the Japan Alps, where the winds from our latest typhoon still whip up the sound of dancing bamboo outside my window, I'd like to welcome you, oishii_sakura san to Jref !!

I hope you enjoy all the discussion and join in when you can and want to !!

I hope to see you 'round !! 🙂

Dear All, seemed like this is the thread for all newbies (including me) to say hello.
Typhoon no. 13, hitting Hokkaido tomorrow. taihen desu ne.

Mars Man san, u must have gone up to the Japan Alps to see the skyline quite often.

From the plains bowing at the foot of the those great peaks, the Japan Alps, I extend a great WELCOME to the forum Wong san !! Yes, to see any real horizon, I have to either climb to the top of them, or, pass over them to the Japan (East) Sea.

To be honest, this particular fora not originally been intended for posting introductions--as far as I can see--but someone did, and then some other followed. I had been away during late July, and August, so didn't answer to the earlier ones, and just caught the one that I posted to, and then the rest is history. . .

But,...it's ok to give an introduction here, I'd guess !! I really hope you stick around and share and learn with all of us, let us get to know you as you get to know us, and, all in all, have a great time !! I look forward to talking to you later !! 🙂

I am not exactly Japanese, but I have studied the language for like 1 month and culture for 6 years. Watashi no nama e wa Tetsu desu. Anata wa nihongo o hanashimasuka?
