this isn't an ad, it's a plea for help. i'm trying to sell my 1967 ford mustang in japan. its currently in hawaii. all my japanese friends say it will be worth a ton of money there, but i suspect that they don't know much about cars. its in decent but not great condition. any ideas on how much it's worth in japan and what's the best way to sell it?

"its in decent but not great condition" That's a little vague... heh. I'm sure there is a market for your vehicle but i'm not sure if you would be better off selling it whole "as-is" to someone who wants to restore it or to sell it off piecemeal. You should contact your local import/export agency to find out more. I'm not familiar with Thailand so much but I suspect if the car in question is currently in Asia then your chances of selling it off to a prospective buyer whole are much easier than say, porting it over from the states for instance. Anyways, not much help I know... but dig around a bit on the web and see what comes up. Good luck and hope you can find a buyer. 8-)

thanks. it is currently in hawaii, but rumor has it that it would be worth the cost (about $1600) to ship to japan. but i'm trying to confirm these rumors before i spend that much on shipping. unfortunately, the web, unbelievably, does not seem to contain the price of old american cars in japan. at least, not in english..
