Ichi is a very good movie, not the best Miike but stilll very good. You should perhaps also try Graveyard of honour, Gozu and other Miike movies, non yakuza, worthwhile i think are Audition, Visitor Q...

Sabu also has some cool movies, you should try Postman Blues, Drive, Dangan runner...

never been released in the u.k u lie

Hey Jovial, this film never got released in the UK, nor did it come out on DVD. I think it was too disgusting for British audience, i did how ever see a clip of the movie and it looked very very sick !! A movie i wouldnt really want to watch, but as i have not seen the whole movie i can not really judge if it is a bad or a good movie!!!

ok you say that ichi the killer has never been released in the u.k on dvd well how comes that i have seen it in a video store then.

I didn't know it was out on video but I saw it in an arthouse cinema so it's definitely been released in the UK. I don't know if the version I saw was edited or not.
