I may have lost valuable shipment in JP post

I recently tried using a forwarding company to reduce the cost of international shipping to the UAE so I worked with a forwarding company who has a branch in Japan. I as I check on jp post tracking the item was delivered to a completely different address my address is (Koto-ku, 136-0075) and the final delivery is (JOTO 136-8799 )? I also got the label copy of the address it says the same as my address which is 136-0075 Tokyo, I contacted the seller which I bought the item from (he is from Taiwan and the shipment also from there) he said he can't help me because he sent it to the right address and he can't contact the JP. The shipment was delivered on 29 of May 2020. But to this day I didn't get any update on it.

Sadly, JP only has local contact and I don't have any friends who live in Japan or anyone that can help me with contacting them, I really want that shipment but I am out of options I will even pay for any help I can get to get it delivered to my address!

I guess you will have to take this up with the forwarding company. Both postal codes are in Koto-ku, Tokyo. Most likely 136-0075 is where the company is located. 136-8799 is a post office in Koto-ku:


I assume your shipment was deposited at that post office. Anyhow, all this sounds a little suspect.

i didnt notice it was this close. but yeah im suspecting something about this shipment aswell. what do you think is the best solution for this? is there a way for me to contact someone or a service (Website) from japan to solve my issue with JP office for forigners? of course i will pay for it

Why can't you contact the forwarding company? Give them the tracking number and ask.

Edit: Also, the post office has a FAX number listed on their website: 03-3681-9580. The website: 城東郵便局 (東京都) - 日本郵政グループ

If the forwarding company somehow cannot help you, try sending the post office a short message via FAX in English and (Google) translated Japanese.

Hello! You're using Shop and Ship correct? I was looking up the area code too and stumbled upon your post and I have exactly the same issue. I've been calling Aramex for a week and no answer (they answered as I was typing this!) I've tried to email the seller to see if they can contact the post office and now hope Aramex will fix this. UPDATE: Aramex is useless. I need to contact Japan Post myself and wait for the seller to reply.

I've been calling Aramex for a week and no answer (they answered as I was typing this!) I've tried to email the seller to see if they can contact the post office and now hope Aramex will fix this. UPDATE: Aramex is useless. I need to contact Japan Post myself and wait for the seller to reply.

Man, you don't know how bad this company is I never ordered an item without going trouble to get it to my account. the problem I was forced to use the japan address because of COVID since the shipment is coming originally from Taiwan. now over half a month with no update regarding it, this is the last time I use this useless forwarding company service.

currently, I did already contact the JP post office through a friend of mine in japan they said the shipment was delivered at 29 may 2020 to the shopandship warehouse, it yet have to appear in my account even after 10 business days. the problem the shipment is valuable and its irreplaceable since only few of the item exist ( its a signed board from my favorite mangaka) now losing it like this. I contacted the seller and he sent me the proof of delivery. not it's up to shopandship to locate it and deliver but their service is sooooo bad its taken ages for them to reply to 1 email.

I am trying finish fast but it's based in the US, do you have any other shipping services in the UAE?

Oh no, sorry to hear that! I really hope they can find it. This is the first time I have a problem like this however I've had major issues with their rude delivery guys. So far, I have no other shipping services to suggest.

Based on what my seller is telling me "Joto is the former area's name which is now under Koto-ku in Tokyo, and the delivery was made by the post office called Joto post office which in Koto-ku. So the delivery should have been made to a correct location, and our shipping label indicates the correct address" Clearly Aramex has no idea what's going on at their office in Japan. They should also inform us that they close on weekends because there was one failed delivery attempt before it got lost.

I called Aramex again today and this time the person said they will coordinate with their Japan branch and try to locate my package by Thursday and if not... I call back and that's a whole other process. Keep calling them and expect to be on hold for at least 20 mins.

hahahah im having the exact problem and i have been calling them everyday and on hold for 30 min. also last week i got one of their rude drivers fired because he though it was a good idea to sign delivery of the package with my name and throw over the door. i took this matter to dubai consumer protection and got my refund from them because aramex didnt want to refund me.

overall i really dont want to work with this garbage forwarding company but were forced because post officeis as just as bad as these guys are.

i got every confirmation from seller, jp post that the shipment reached the destination from weeks ago and yet they keep asking me if i did order the item....

at this point i am losing hope of having this shipment delivered.

Apparently they found my package!

My sender followed through also:
“We hope this email finds you well.
We contacted your forwarder (SGH Global) and they confirmed that they received the parcel on June 1st, but there has been a delay due to the COVID-19 and the reduction of international flights.
They said they should be able to send the package out to you within next week.
Once the parcel leaves Japan, you will receive a notification from them or your local courier.”

Shortly after I got an email from shop and ship. Shop and Ship still is a big fail. I wish they were more informed and atleast explained what was going on rather than tell you its not their problem or that you input the incorrect address.

any luck?

last time i contacted them about 4 days ago they said the package is within thier warehouse but yesterday the package it appread on my account, going all of these troubles for no reason, i thought the package was lost because niether the seller or the JP can locate it.

i have wasted my so many hours on just a simple delays due to COVID-19.

also i have 60 AED local calls on my bill to pay just from waiting to the support-line. i wish for someone from their team told me we recived your package but there will be delays due to the epidemic, i would have not wasted my time on it.

anyways im glad that both of us will get thier shipment soon!

thank you for your help it really helped me and gave me a bit of hope that i will get the shipment, also i was suprized when someone from UAE replied to this thread and face the same problem with Shopandship.

i will try to look for alternative service for japan shipping for the future shipments and if i found something i would gladly share it with you since we both dont want to work with sns but forced to use it.
