How would I write things like "such as" or "like.."

In this sentence, "The child laughs at such things like passion and love", would it be something like この子は情熱とか愛などに笑う。
 
I think that's good. You could also say 情熱とか愛とか, but I'm pretty sure the particle you want is を, not に.
 
Generally, を is for direct objects and locations being passed through, and に is used for indirect objects and destinations and places where a state is taking place (that's kind of a weird way of saying that). However, there will be times when you just have to pay attention to which particle the verb takes, because some of them take one or the other.
 
This is how I see it,

"The child laughs at such things like passion and love"
"この子は情熱や愛情などを馬鹿にする。"
