how to translate "in advance of" / "prior to"?

Just wondering what would be the most appropriate translation for "in advance (of)"/"prior (to)", for example:


1. "I will need to know at least a week prior (to) the event".

2. "In case there is a problem with the post, I am sending you this a week in advance (of the time it should be with you)"


Does it involve 事前に and/or 予告?
 
ツ〜窶楼窶堙 would work for the case. ナス窶凪?楼窶堙 isn't always necessary. (窶能ツ債 means "notice in advance".)

1. ツ渉ュ窶堙遺?堋ュ窶堙??堙?ニ辰ニ遅ニ停?愴暖窶堙戸?ェツ週ナ?テ披?楼窶堙俄?堙
2. ヒ?ェツ週ナ?テ披?楼窶堙俄?倪?披?堙ィ窶堙懌?堋キツ。
