need help trying to get copy of wifes death certificate in naha okinawa iwas married to a girl from okinawa in 1970 who died in 1972 have been trying for 5 years to get a death certificate any help would be appreciated thanks John

I think it will take some real digging to find.

Chances are a record that old will be stored away deep somewhere. It will probably take a person to go face to face with the right people to obtain something that old. I think your best bet would be to pay a Japanese lawyer in the Nara area to track it down.

I love how much effort he puts into helping us help him. If he thinks all it takes is making a post to random strangers on an internet group and a death certificate will magically show up by registered mail, then no wonder he's been at it five years with no results.
