Obsolete How to embed videos into your post

It is now possible to embed a youtube video or a google video into your posts.

Here is how to do it.

Youtube:

http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=[COLOR="Red"]Fv65W2H3rt4[/COLOR]

add the red part, the part after watch?v= between [youtube ][/youtube ] (without the spaces). So in the end you will get this:
[youtube ]Fv65W2H3rt4[/youtube ]


Google

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=[COLOR="Red"]-8903429789762915686&e[/COLOR]i=N7SySKGrHZOAwgOVwpTWDA&q=okamura&emb=1

Add the red part, after the videoplay?docid= between [google ][/google ] (also without the spaces)
so like this:
[google ]-8903429789762915686&ei[/google ]
[google]-8903429789762915686&ei[/google]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, I feel there isn't quite a lot of Japan-related videos of great interest in those websites any longer, with a lot of Japanese shows, anime, etc., pulled out of them due to copyright issues?

I think a lot of interesting videos on and about Japan are now at Nico Nico Douga. The problem with it is that it is strictly a Japanese site and doesn't have an English-language version of it. (It has Chinese, Spanish & German--why not English, I wonder?)

Yes, it is possible, just get the embed code from the you tube video and than upload it wherever you want. I think it should work, i did it many times before. You try it.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm checking into it right now.

Due to the upgrade of the forum to Vbulletin 4, it is not necessary to add [youtube ] [/youtube ] the youtube url's anymore. Instead of this you can just click on the icon and add the URL here instead.
