Hello,

I just started learning how to count in japanese. Everything went fine, until I stumbeled onto this in my book: ''千五百万五千三百五十四''. Unfortunately, there is no answer sheet in my book, and I have no idea how I should count this. So could anyone help me how I should count it?

What part/kanji don't you understand?
I think the '千五百万' confuses me? At the moment I am reading it like this: [千五百万] [五千] [三百] [五十四]
So: [?~5354]

Edit: Do you read it like this?: 1.005.005.354

Unlike in English, 4 digits are a set in Japanese.

一万: ten thousand
十万: hundred thousand
百万: million
千万: ten million
一億: hundred million
十億: billion
百億: ten billion
千億: hundred billion
一兆: trillion

So, what is 千五百万 (= 千万 + 五百万)?

Sorry for the late response, I was quite busy with school :S
So that means 千五百万 = 15.005.354?

Edit: Thanks for helping me out :)
