How much Japanese music is on your MP3 player?

I find myself having atleast 90% of the artists on my IPod being Japanese.*_*
 
About the same amount for me.
But I've been too lazy to rip the songs from my cds onto my mp3 player. If I put those on, too, it would be about 60/40 in favour of Japanese songs.
 
all in mine are japanese (^^ with 92% jrock and 8% j-pop including gackt

Edit : me too i'm lazy to rip it ^^;; only copy the songs i always listen to it
 
I just cleaned out my IPod to make room for all my Japanese music..got my 20 gb from 3 or so gb left to over 8 gb left.xD
 
Heh... I have only Japanese on my mp3 player. Of course, my music collection consists of MORE than just Japanese, but I leave everything else on disc or on my computer. In total, I listen to music in about 13 different languages.

See, i'm about the same with my IPod.
Me and my girlfriend are very very picky about our music.xD Her mini has nothing but japanese music(She's from Kyoto, but still)xD
I just been listening to Japanese music mostly..so I deleted the rest..xD

I have from Dir en Grey, to Luna Sea, to X-Japan, to Kana, and then to Babylon, and so on and so on.

Hmm, I'm not very good at math but if there's 50 songs, and 4 of them is Marilyn Manson's... doesn't that make 92% japanese?

[it's nice when you listen to Manson and immediately after that, you get Ayumi Hamasaki ._.]
 
I have about 30 japanese songs consisting of Schwarz Stein, Alice Nine, The Pillows, X Japan, L'arc en ciel and Dir en grey on my memory stick. I listen to the songs in school sometimes.

Me too, I am rather attached to my mp3 player. I have 20GB capacity and I've used about 2/3 of it, which is about 2000 songs, in a mixture of Japanese and English and a bit of German in the case of Rammstein! ;-) (I also have some Scandinavian and Italian artists on there but they sing in English... XD)

I'm not allowed to listen to music at work, though - which is 8 hours a day at least, hehe - and then when I get home usually the first and main thing I do is play instrument(s)... so it's not like I have music playing constantly. I play it when I'm doing something like drawing, house cleaning sick: ) or sewing.
 
I'm about the same, just mine is like 90% JRock and JPop, and I have clear over 2000 songs on it.x.x;
It's so sad if you think about it.xD
 
hehe, yeah... especially as most Japanese musicians listen to Western music actually... probably not solely Western music, but quite a lot.

In an interview with Haruhiko Ash, he said the Japanese music scene is boring and he doesn't listen to any Japanese music any more, but European music... and here are all these big fans of J-music doing it the other way round... not that there's anything wrong with either way round, but it just seems ironic, that's all! :haihai:
 
Good thread!! I have 98% Japanese music on my Ipod Some trance aswel (that's the other 2%)
 
90% japanese music.. lol.. the rest is c, k and p-music.. i think.. ^^;;
 
As of today, I have over 90% jpop/jrock on my admittedly small mp3 player. Only Tackey & Tsubasa and Miyavi, partly because I'm using their videos in my teaching right now (English). It's quite interesting to see how Swedish teenagers react when first exposed to j-music. One girl was shocked to find that she suddenly started liking the Miyavi song she was listening to.
 
Mine's 100% J-Rock. Diru, Despa, Miyavi, Gazette, B'z, Deathgaze, and some more. Always got to be prepared to introduce J-Rock to other people. (it worked with a classmate; now she quite likes Diru and Miyavi :win: But no enough yet... *has to try harder* :angryfire )
 
The only Japanese songs I have on my player are Koda Kumi, the 5,6,7,8's and Shonen knife. About 10 songs in all.
 
I'm currently in the IT department with no music at all on my memory stick. ¬_¬ I deleted all the music, but will put a new selection on it later on back at home.
