Digital camera's in japan?

i have a digital camera now from sony, but the LCD screen is broken and to fix it will cost around 150-200 euro ( just for the F^^king screen.. waa crazy crazy crazy crazy.... ) so im thinking of buying one in japan... what are the prices for that... and what store can i buy it best ( kansai area.. if you guys know...))

so how much are digital camera's in japan, are they cheaper as european country's?

Despite Japan making a lot of the electronic stuff, due to their economy, it's cheaper to buy the same things in the US. You'd probably be better off buying it in your hometown with an instruction manual and digital info that you can read easily (not saying that you can't read Japanese, or anything..). Though there might be small market places in Japan that might sell cheap, but you'd have to do some work to find them.

Your upside is that you'll get the latest model of the Japanese brand cameras a bit early... that's about it. The dollar is so damn weak now that buying imports is once again, too expensive. :(

I think what the people are saying is right but will post you this for your reference. It's the website on consumer evaluation of electrical & electronic appliances in Japan.

You'll see the cheapest price for each model (usually Internet prices). If you click the model name, you'll see what it looks like, its specifications & how consumers visiting the site evaluate the model.
