How long did you get your Certificate of Eligibility?

Hi! I'm new here. My in-laws have filed for our certificate of eligibility, last week. I just want to know how long did you wait for your certificate of eligibility?

It's for a long-term visa.

Unless you're talking about permanent residency, just saying "long-term" doesn't answer what type of visa. And I don't think there is a COE for permanent residency.

He probably means "Long Term Resident" visa, Mike. Last one on this list.

To answer your question, it takes as long as it takes. A week is nowhere near enough time. For regular work visas it takes 2-8 weeks. Roughly the same for spouse visas. A lot depends on circumstances (nationality, correct paperwork, etc.).
