How is Easter celebrated in Japan?

Considering that today is Easter Day for all Catholic and Evangelical Christians throughout the world (Easter is celebrated by Orthodox and Coptic Christians next Sunday), I thought I should start a thread to find out more about how Easter is celebrated in Japan.

I understand that there are Christian Japanese families and non-Christian families, but is Easter an official holiday recognized throughout the country? Do they have Easter discounts in stores, and Easter-themed commercials on TV?

Feel free to share anything you know about the way in which Easter is celebrated in Japan. It would be very informative.

It's not a holiday here. No discounts. No commercials.

Anything foreign and domestic except for bunnies. Here's an interesting article on Japan's love for chocolate.
