Here comes: Mariat!

Hi there!!!

My name is Mariat and I come from the Czech Republic (Europe^^).
Anyway - I'm living now for 8 years here in Austria and by the moment studying a gymnasium here in Linz.

Some things about me:

I'm from a musician family (my mother is a piano-teacher, my father plays violine in an orchestra, so my brother does) and I play piano and e-guitar myself^^
I'm an openminded, active and somehow crazy person (an artist;-), sotherefore I chose Ed from Cowboy Bebop (Manga/Anime), because her character fits me.
As you can see, my English is not perfect, but I think it's still o.k.

What I like and what are my hobbies:

Well, I like almost everything that has to do with Japan or japanese culture^^ (of course), I'm a Kendoka ( I also tried Judo and Karate, but Kendo fits me the most), I draw a lot (mostly comics/manga, but also 'realistic - style'), I like to compose and hear some good music (mostly Rock and Metal), like to play games (PS2, ,PSP), I really like wandering in the nature and also nature itself...

What I hate/dislike:

prejudice, maths^^, lazyness

What manga?
Well - my drawing-style has changed with the time (I'd say like... 6 times^^)
Now, its kinda... european/american comic, which is very close to manga
(there are many comics (especially i-net comics), which I was influenced by in last time)

That sounds cool. Do you like more detailed drawings or do you go for more chibi, simple stuff? Is shonen the simpler style? I dunno really.

I finished reading (and collected) Dragon Ball and Azumanga Diaoh manga. At the mo I'm reading Yakitate Japan, Yotsubato and I've just started Genshiken. They're all really fun and kinda reflect my reading taste. Like slice-of-life, detailed humour manga. x) I'm not into gorey, emotional or serious mangas.

I'd rather said, it's detailed manga (but not too detailed^^)

And I'm also not such a great manga-reader/anime-watcher... just doing my stuff, so I cannot be influenced by nothing (because at the moment, my style is perfect (for me) and I like it, as it is)

By the way: do you know Ichabod?
