Hey guys, I'm wanting to learn Kanji and i'm completely new to it. Can someone give me some beginner kanji to help me?
- Thanks.☝

I'm not the best person to be giving advice, but...

I suggest you get the book "Essential Kanji" by P.G. O'Neill. It's like 15 bucks on eBay. Contains 2000 Kanji, stroke order, ON/kun, and two sayings that incorporate them. I've done around 230 or so. The immediate beginning kanji you should know is 1-10, day, moon, person. 一二三五六七八九十. 人日月曜水火本山目見木時. I consider these basic.

And if you'd like to try an online source, iKnow! is a great place to try. It's been helping me tremendousy. I've been sticking with it for about a week and a half now, and am able to recognize about 100 kanji so far! Here's the url:

I recommend James Heisig's Remembering the Kanji book 1. I used it, and I know others who've used it and like it a lot. I consider it to be the main reason I know over 2100 characters and can write pretty much all of them from memory.

Totally agree.
It's the best method for foreign people.
Btw have a look to these sites, please. Very nice! I used them some years ago and they were very useful.
