Help writing a letter to future host family

Hi all! I need to send my future host family a short message and I need help in double check it for any mistakes in grammar and expressions ^^ Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance. So here is my message:

こんにちは。
はじめまして, xxです。でも、よかったら、xと呼んで下さい。どうぞ よ ろ し く おねがいします。
私は日本語がまだ上手なんですが、がんばります。
いま、大学で日本語をべんきょうしていて、三年生です 。日本に行ったことがなありませんが、本当に楽しみで す！
ご家族から日本の文化を学ぶのが楽しみです。すぐ会う のを楽しみにしています。
前もって、おもてなしどうもありがとうございます。

I think you meant 下手.

I think this is just a typo. －な

ご家族から．．．
When you're addressing the family directly, "Gokazoku" isnot usually used (or at least I don't think it is). I would just go with みなさん here.

すぐ会うのを楽しみにしています。
I assume you wanted to say, "I am looking forward to meeing you soon". I think a more natural way of expressing this is, "早く会えるのを楽しみにしています。".

前もって、おもてなしどうもありがとうございます。
"Thank you very much for your hospitality in advance"? I have never heard someone thanking someone in advance for their hospitality in Japanese. A gratitude for someone's hospitality is always expressed after the fact, I think, at least in Japanese. This has the danger of making it sound like you are expecting to be... pampered, waited on. How about simply thanking them for being your host family?

I think you have written a beautiful letter. It shows how excited you are about coming to Japan and meeting the family. Just the way it is even with the mistakes and all, your host family would be delighted by the letter.

I hope you will have a great time in Japan and build a life-long friendship with your host family.
