Help with translation

Hi,
I have some problems trying to understand the underlined.
あの方はどなたですか。
あの方は男の学校の先生です。
because of the many の in the answer I'm not sure what it means. Is it "my brothers (school) teacher" or "my (school) teachers brother".

If 男 is actually 兄 (ani; elder brother) or 弟 (otouto; younger brother), then it would mean:

He (that person) is my brother's (school)teacher.

Do you have any more context? It's really quite vague and there's a few different ways it could be parsed, changing the meaning.

Well the way the sentences read it seems to me.. it translates as

Who is that guy/person?
She's/He`s a teacher at a boys school.

(All boys high schools are quite common in Japan)
Other interpretations don't make much sense because, it would be obvious that the teacher is a man if you are pointing and asking about him. (well at least I hope it is obvious.. haha)

The reason why I thought it's a typo is because all boys' school is called 男子校 (danshi-kou) rather than 男の学校 , which is awkward Japanese.

Well, unless 男の学校 is used to suggest a school where you learn to "become a man"!

It should have been 弟.

Yeah, but as epigene pointed out, 男の学校 is never used to mean this. It's usually 男子校. I asked him for more information because I figured there was either a typo involved or it was a sentence from a non-native speaker.

男の学校の先生 can be parsed a few ways.

(男の学校)の先生 - a teacher at a school for boys
(男の)学校の先生 - a male teacher (at a school)

Does 学校の先生の弟 mean "my teacher's younger brother"?

Shouldn't it be 弟の学校の先生? (That is the word order from your first post.)
In that case, it means "a teacher at my younger brother's school".

If, in fact, you do mean 学校の先生の弟, then yes, it means "my teacher's younger brother".
