Help with Japanese international transfer problem please

Hello there, I'm not entirely sure this is where I should post such a topic so I hope it'll be moved to the right place if I'm mistaken.

I've got a slight banking problem. I'm an undergraduate student and I've been living in Japan for approximately six months. Right now my rent (bi-annual) and next semester fees are due in a couple of weeks and I've just found out that I can't wire transfer money from my home country (Malaysia) to my Japan Post Bank account which my university and the company running my dormitory will automatically deduct the fees from. I know there are a lot of threads and discussions about this but my particular situation is slightly different. My father works for a Japanese company which has a Malaysian branch and he just recently asked them to pay him in yen. Strangely enough, one can wire transfer money from overseas into a JP bank account if it's in USD or Euro but not yen [O.O]?

So, I was wondering if anyone could suggest a bank that would accept international wire transfer in yen rather than a foreign currency cause I've been looking around everywhere and have yet to find anything on sending money TO japan IN YEN.

Not at all? That's rather unbelievable. Can they wire it in any other form that Japan accepts?

Equally unbelievable. I wired money from Japan to Korea for a conference last year, and I had the options of sending it in USD or Korean money. Seems to me the reverse ought to be true.

Sorry I should have been a bit clearer. I can only wire transfer USD or Euro into my bank account from overseas and JP bank will convert it to yen through an intermediary bank. Apparently one can only do this with these two currencies and no other.

Yeah I've checked. I can wire yen out of Japan to my home country and it would be received over there in the local currency. However, wiring money INTO Japan to a JP bank account can only be done in USD or Euro which I find odd. What makes this even more complicated is that my dad can't convert the yen to USD due to some company policy. Plus we'd be losing out if we converted yen to USD and back to yen again.

Please can't anyone help? Has no one done this before?
