三上氏： ベースになっているのは"id Tech 5"です。ただ、描画周りは内製のものを一からに近い状態で作って使っています。描画周り以外の部分は"id Tech 5"を用いています。id Tech 5のメガテクスチャーを使っている部分もあります。良い所はそのまま残したいなと。実際ゲームエンジンは融通のきくものではないので、結構四苦八苦しながら取り組んでいます。

――特にテクスチャーのクオリティが凄いなと感じていましたが、あれは

三上氏： そうとは言い切れないですね。元々かなり広めのフィールドを想定していましたので、アートディレクターの片貝を含め、スタッフが僕の無理難題を形にしてくれているのだと思います。

I'll be frank: I had no intention of learning Japanese. I just wanted an accurate translation since Web Translation tools failed me miserably.

Thought I could find a forum with Japanese speakers/learners to ask for help. A) They get to help a brotha' out... B) Practice is good for 'em!
