Its 1:45 A.M. here, just got home after partying/waiting at Barnes and Nobles for 5 hours. The new book sits in front of me, halfway finished. Anyone else pick up a copy? 🙂

My copy arrived this morning from Amazon. I was not going to wait in a shop.

Plenty of HP lovers world wide I guess.

They held an all day Mugglefest here in Portland, Maine yesterday. They sold over 5000 tickets and there were people paying ticket scalpers 3 times the original cost so they could get in.

Uncle Frank

:-)

Finished it. Took from about 10:30 to 18:00 to read it, with breaks. I can now get back to Metal Swarm.

I don't even work in a book store (but we carry the book) and I had 4 or 5 people call if they could come and get it after midnight. It came in a box with dire warnings not to open it until the 21st under pain of death.

My daughter went over to our local supermarket this morning and got a copy for less than £10.00 which is good value for money. She quarter way through reading it, and me and her mother wish she would stop telling us little bits of what she has just read. Its spoils it for us!

My mum bought me a copy for my birthday! How sweet is that? 😊

happy birthday then (in advance) 🙂

I haven't read any of books, but watched every movie 😊
actually, I'm going today to see this last one 😌

Loved it, but I think more so because I didn't read the spoilers that were ALL over the net or skip to the last pages like most people seemed to do.

WHY would you do that? That takes all the fun out of reading the darn thing.

Agree with made of stone, tho, the epilogue was pretty white meat.

Finally got round to reading it... mainly thanks to a 12 hour flight!!

My friends read it before me and I forbad them from talking about it in front of me... they did... but whispered...it was most annoying!

I usualy don't give a damn about spoilers but I really seem to at the moment... I think it was because of the major Death Note spoiler I was given when I was just getting into it... I now shout at people who tell me what happened!

The epilogue seemed really pointless.... As far as I am concerned it ended the chapter before... I'm not actually sure if I liked it or not.

I'll get it for my birthday because it has to be translated into dutch first.
Can't hardly wait another 3 months...

Why not get it in English, you seem to be able to speak it well enough? I've just been on a scout camp and there was a Polish girl who bought the English version and was reading it. I admire anyone who does that. Reading a book in another language, especailly one you are not over familar with, takes determination.

For anyone who disagrees with Stephen King's view that The Deathly Hallows ended with a 'gorgeous epilogue' - well, actually for anyone at all who read the whole series, and wants to know more about what happened to all the characters later on - here's a link to a transcript of a web chat with JK. Very much worth reading - it also sheds light on some things that weren't properly explained in the book itself (such as why a number of characters had to die)!

I won't post any spoilers here, but please do be aware that the link contains major spoilers. If you read the page before the book itself it will ruin it for you!!

Wow, thank you for that, mos! 👍 I've finished the book now and it was really cool to read the interview. :)

I started reading the first book when the third book came out and I'm totally hooked. I feel a bit sad that there wont be anymore and I'm sure instead of jumping all those years jk could have written more on the lives of harry and all. or would that have got boring? anyway I'm now back to crossstitch as I cannot find anything else worth reading xxxxoh and thanks mos for the link of now to read the interview xxxxxxxxxx

I have it! And I readed it! LOOOONg ago. In Bulgaria we were waiting for it to 2 in the morning! It was so cool! My brother was going to kill me! :-)
