oya! I am so relieved to have finally found a site! I am Yume. I love Japan more than anything. It's my life's dream to go there. I have been studying Japanese for maybe 2 years ima. (now) I know all my hiragana and katakana. Kanji will be a challege, but it's worth it! I am looking for my first, or first group of Japanese friends. I don't mean to be so forward or rude... but gosh, I really want to know ALL about you guys. I love your culture, language, aptitude..technology.. everything. I would be tickled to talk to a REAL Japanese. I would probably cry. Well, please! Kudasai! Talk to me. I am Japan's biggest fan, so I want to hear it all! bai bai for now. Ja mata ne!

Hi Yume, welcome to Jref, I am not japanese myself, but I will be moving to japan in one month from now.

Hope you will have fun on the forum, and that you tell us more about your love for Japan!

Oya! Arigato gozaimasu! I am practically blushing! I'M SO HAPPY! You are so lucky. I would give anything to go there right this second. No second thought. So, why is your name "dutch baka" is that supposed to mean "stupid dutch" I don't know. OYA! Dozo yoroshiku.

haha well I got this name from my wife, and all other japanese friends, they thought I was crazy stupid 😊 so that's why they called me baka, and because I am dutch, it am Dutch Baka :D

I see. I forgot! Oh my gosh! I'm actually talking to someone who's not American for once. Awesome.

Greetings from the Japan Alps, where one can dream the days away in the serene of a mountain pool, surrounded by all the sights and sounds that make put the heart at ease with nature.

Welcome to the forum yume_itsumo san !! I'm glad you found the forum too, and know you can make a lot of friends and learn and share a lot with us too. I hope to hear from you some day. And, well, I did move here from the USA, but it's been some 21 years now, that I've been here.

Talk to you later !! 🙂

welcome to the boards, yume; your name certainly seems to fit! I wonder, where are you that makes a conversation with a non-american so serendipidous? Also, I'd like to know what first piqued your interest in Japan, and why you would like to go there so much. yoroshiku ne.

Ya... let me be the first to just come out and say it. Troll. I absolutely cannot believe that this post is even remotely serious.

There are two possible responses to this thread as I see it.

1) Welcome to the boards! Now stop posting troll threads. (90% chance of being correct as I see it)

2) Welcome to the boards! Now, take one step back and SLOW down or the day you get to the fantasy land that you have made Japan out to be, it will eat you alive and grind your bones to a fine paste worthly of the finest mochi. (10% possibility)

In the words of a great man... "I am willing to take a warning for this..."
