Hello everyone,

I am a 32-year-old editor in my countrys' top financial newspaper, and I routinely cover East Asian business/politics, with a particular dedication to Japan

I decided to join the forums so that I can exchange impressions about Japan during work, as this may help me write better articles.

Greetings from Shinano (presently Nagano) the home of the Japan Alps !! I'm glad to know that you have joined up !! I'm eager to hear your comments. Now sports is something that I have little knowledge of (sorry to say) other than spielunking, rock climbing, and weight lifting. I hope to learn more from you !! (Oh, I should mention my most favorite workout, the ole elbow exercises--you take your largest beer mug, and . . . )

Oh no !! What?? Late September is when I go back to school !! But this fall I'll one less class to do, so maybe I can keep up. Nice to have you here Keoland

Thanks everyone for your warm greetings

I also hope that JREF will prove to be very useful (and fun) to be in, especially with all the exciting developments that will take place in Japan until mid-September.

I'll also see if I can drop by the economic area of the forum, as I am rather interested in seeing the opinions regarding Koizumis' ideas for privatizing Japan Post.
