Here I am, on the central coast of sunny California, where it never drops below 70º F...

...and it's f***ing HAILING!!!

Now, if you'll excuse me--me and my crudely drawn cardboard sign are going to go stand out in the street proclaiming:

"THE END IS NIGH!!!!

REPENT, MOTHERF***ERS!

REPENT!!!"​

Better yet, don't repent--pick up some booze and some women and some bitchin' tunes, drop by my place...

...and we'll all go out like Sodom and Gomorrah.

It doesnt matter how hot ground level is, go up high enough and the air is a nice toasty -20 then 30 then 40 then 50 and so on degrees below zero.

Since hail forms pretty high up, it isnt all THAT un-expected.

Maybe that particular day atmosperic conditions were cool enough for the hail to make it to ground level.

Actually, it's f***ing freezing right now--a freind of mine's fish died because it got so cold--I think we must've broken a local low temperature record or something.

The thing about the coast is we can get really bad wind chill off the sea--it was actually raining, but the wind chill was freezing it in mid-fall for a short while.

Man, these Alaskan breezes suck--it wasn't even this cold when I was in Boston last November...

...of course, I hear I just missed the blizzard.

You could always move to Hawaii.....it's rarely freezing there

It's rarely freezing here either--in fact it's never even been cold in the near-decade I've been living here.

So needless to say the sudden presence of hail freaked me the h3ll out.
