Ghost Stories

Hummmm??????

Maybe I misunderstood this thread. I thought we were susposed to make up a ghost story; the one I wrote above just came off the top of my head, sorry if it sounded true. I didn't understand it was going to be true events that happen to people, sorry.

Frank

:sorry:

I think we can do both! If you have a made up story, just say "WARNING! This only happened in my head!"

I Wouldn't Want......

Steven King to think I'm compeating with him, him being a fellow Mainer and all.

This is a true story that I experienced.

Story 1.

I was using my computer in my room.
Then the string of the curtain started swinging.
I thought I must have touched it.
10 minuteds later, it was still swinging.
I checked all the windows and the door of the room, and they were all shut.
An hour later, it was still swinging.
I was a little scared, so I called a friend of mine.
He was a Christian, and he left a gospel music tape with me.
I played the tape, but it didn't stop the string.
I finnaly stopped it with my hand.
A few seconds later, it started swinging again!😲
It was swinging for more than 6 hours! :(

Several days later, I told about this swinging string to one of my friend.
Then she said, "wasn't it Thursday evening?"
I said, "Yes, how do you know?"
She said, "Because I visited your house on that day while you are out. Your family let me in. Then, I saw something strange under your piano."
"What was it?"
"I don't know, but it was not a human. Something else."
This friend of mine is a psychic who can see spirit.
I don't know what she saw, but obviously there was something in my house on that day. 😇

oooooo spooky stuff indeed!

Tsuyoiko, yes i have seen white noise...it was ok.

ok, just found out the "Get out, get out of my house" audio clip doesn't work!

Sorry bout that folks.
The site that it is on has some good ones under thier 'best of' page.

That's spooky.

I have some stories to tell, but I don't want to think about it before I go to bed otherwise I wouldn't be able to sleep...

Ghostly Kids Push You Off Train Tracks

Urban Legend: The protective ghosts of little children killed at a railway crossing push stalled cars off the tracks.

The Story:
This one is actually true. It's been talked about on many TV stations including an Los Angeles, California station by "The Earth Man" Garcia. It has to do with a school bus full of children that had stalled on some train tracks in San Antonio, Texas. A train was coming and was going too fast to stop in time to get the bus off the tracks. The bus was hit and all of the children died. It was a great tragedy. The tracks are located on a curve in the road but the tracks are on a small up-hill grade to both sides.

If you stop your car just on the tracks and put it in neutral, it will slowly start to roll over the little hill and down the other side.

A local Los Angeles, California station sent a crew there to check it out and it was done on tape, with a San Antonio sheriff present. The cars back end was cleaned off of any finger prints before the test was done and after it was done it was dusted for prints. Several small hand prints and finger prints showed up on the bumper, showing that the small hands of the ghost children were pushing the car to get it off the tracks.

There are also claims that this is nothing more than a gravity anomaly allowing a non-moving vehicle to move over a small up-grade. But no one can explain away the hand and finger prints.

Man, those pictures are creepy.

Now that I still have daylight, I can tell you the stories.

You guys know the ouija board, don't you?
One time when my husband and his sister were playing with it when they were young. They asked questions mostly about their future. It said the year when my husband asked when he was going to die, which scared him already.
After several questions, it started to answer "NO" to every question. And then, it started to move crazy
"A-Z" "B-Y" "C-X" "D-W" back and forth like that.
That freaked out both of my husband and his sister who ran downstairs where their parents were, and found that there was water leaking from the ceiling which was very odd because there were no pipes there.
The water never leaked before or after that.

Another one is my own experience.
I used to work at a psychiatric hospital as a nurse in Japan. When I did the night shift, I used to get a little sleep in the room at the nurse station. The thing I hated the most about the room was the fact that it was right next to where a patient with most severe symptoms was, and I could hear them talking to themselves or sometimes screaming.
I had nightmares so many times when I slept in the room. The scariest one had this old lady sitting on top of me and trying to choke me, but I couldn't move or talk.
I woke up soaking with sweat and a wicked headache.

Ouija boards are freaky indeed. I know of a couple of weird happenings

The first one involves my old man. His mum remarried and they assumed his stepfathers name. As he moved school a lot he was always with new friends.
Once him and his friends where using a ouija and they told him to ask it a question. So he said "What's my surname?" and the glass went to the first letter of his 'real' name...then the second...then the third...before one of his friends said "That's not your name!"...then it stopped.

The other one is a friend of mine.
His mother is a medium and when he was younger he thought he'd play around with her ouija board. The glass started to go crazy and then it fell on the floor and smashed. He later found out that when a glass smashes it releases the spirit. Obviously a spirit that thrashes around in a glass is none too friendly. His mum was unaware of what he'd done until her bedroom became very cold and remained so constantly. Also there was a smell he described as rotting fish in the upstairs of the house. In the end they had to have the house blessed to send the spirit on.

I don't think i'd have the guts to dabble with a ouija board...let alone anything else supernatural.

This is the story behind this picture:
"This is how this story goes: Supposedly, the guy in the photo reportedly went out with his friends and he asked 1 of his friends to take his picture. While his friend was taking the picture he screamed and fainted, 2 days later he died in a medical college. Doctors are said to have said he died because of heart attack. When the photos were exposed, in the last photo there was a lady standing right beside him though friends claim that he was standing alone."

dude is that for real???
Not so much the story (you can never really verify thee sort of 'urban legends') but the picture...if that's real then that's a freaking amazing example of a spirit!
Where'd you get it from dude???

I made pictures like that in High school photography. The picture above is more believeable however.

man, im reading this thread and atm im alone in my house, all the lights r off and it's completly dark man! and now im starting to hear weird noises..IM NOT JOKING!! and looking at this pics r starting to make me cold and freaked out T_____T. *runs to turn on all lights and radio on full blast*

by anyways, a story...not scary but weird

after my mum bought her car - about 10 years ago. A mysterious hand appeared on the roof on the car (like on the inside of the car but roof...get wat i mean? it was inside the car) anyways, the hand colour was charcoal black and looked like a little childs hand. But the weird thing was, it was a skeleton hand. My mum and I tried everything to get the hand off, but nothing we used worked, then mysteriously a few yrs later, the skeleton child hand.....disapeared.

this is true if u think im weird then think it, but this story is true...haha ^^ *still paranoid*

Was the hand like a hand print? Or a 3D version of a skeleton hand?
I remember once there was a church in a small town which was (for NZ standards) a historical building, of considerable age. Inside the church it was really beautiful and made entirely of Kauri wood (aside from the windows and other such things). However one day many many years ago some black foot prints appeared on the ceiling. They can still be seen to this day.

I like your photos Smurf - they are really creepy! 👍

I think the first one is deliberately concocted, probably by someone who has just watched Ringu!

The second one looks like a double exposure.

I don't really get why the third one is spooky, it just looks like someone has sneaked into the shot.

It also says under that picture:
Dave at the Hampshire Ghost Club says this is probably a fake. We agree.

A lot of those images look fake to me and the very first one I came to with the demon supposedly in the wardrobe? I couldn't even see what they were talking about even when it was blown up.

Oh well. Intereting pictures, nonetheless.

pictures and stories all very creepy.
smurfs first pic was so crisp it was almost unbelievable...hence why i asked...unfortunately i couldn't open the link he supplied (blocked here at work). but i guess it would be cool if it is real!
i think a lot of 'ghost' photography is quite easy to discredit...it all depends on how you look at them. and of course, a knowledge of photography!
