Will there be a computer on which you can choose, which eyes, which mouth or what kind of nose you want for the day?

Looks that way. We've become a lazy, shallow society where people would rather go under the knife to reach a certain level of perceived beauty rather than accepting themselves for who they are and building personality rather than living for the mirror. How about those people that go in for liposuction rather than putting down the cheeseburger or walking instead of driving to the cornerstore.

Unless someone had a very good reason for plastic surgery (something other than vanity) I don't think I could respect them the same way after they went under the knife. Maybe I'm being harsh but people who purposefully change themselves just so they can live up the the models in the magazines don't deserve respect.

as for the eyes, its a comment from your friend that reminds me on something else, but can well be related.

When we were travelling via silkroad in China, we often had problems with the climate and very hurting dry (big) noses and thus for the first time understood why a small flat nose is much more convenient and fitting for this.
The same can be the case with the original smaller eyes, a kind of natural protection for the original circumstances, then ?
Since those tribes later on moved to more wet areas, it simply stayed, as much as the skin-colour does not change in Africans etc.
(Also, the Ainu for example have bigger eyes to my knowledge).

The remark was thus not only funny, but it makes sense to me too.

I made a series of fotos about mouths in a certain region once, because I did not want to touch the sensible theme of eyes. The effect was great, they all loved it and happily joined in, in fact, they had big fun with the idea, being from Yamaguchi (!) area. The result was then shown in exhibitions hereabout, and a great success, also, because the fotos bypassed the typical cheese-demonstrations (which was another idea behind), and thus were very direct and eye-catching.
Reading someone's wish from the mouth (also eyes though) is a proverb in Germany and was also very welcome in relation, to make them play around with, no matter, which age.
I had local sweet and funny grannies, but also schoolclasses applying for joining in, great fun!

But with eyes, it would have been all different. . .pity though. I find them as beautifull and interesting.

I dont think you can explain asian looks by geographic position and climate. We all live on the same planet. Of course on the sun skin darkens but how to explain asian eyes and small nose by climate? You cant.
You can explain caucasian narrow nose in terms we live in cold weather or something like that but asian live in cold weather also so why their nose is so different then ours?

There is a strong connection between all species, races, all kinds of life on this planet including visual and aesthetic characteristics, and their environment and evolutionary influences. Caucasians for example are white because the evolutionary influences of living outside of hot, sunny Africa required less protection from the sun in colder climates (less pigmentation) to allow for greater Vitamin D production. Whatever we think about 'white' or the 'whiteness' of people or their culture doesn't matter one bit, that's all just conventional opinion.

The 'asian' eyes phenomenon is (I think) a trait passed down from the originating peoples who gave rise to east Asian cultures, who thousands of years ago lived in cold climates and the shape of their eyes afforded them more protection from the elements. What we think about these eye shapes is irrelevant; to say physical traits aren't rooted somewhere in science and biology because we prefer not to speak on the topic or become overly-investigative of a physical trait out of politeness, is missing the bigger picture.

Only, the smaller eyes may not only have to do with colder climates, but also more sandy or hotter ones, I personally think. But anyhow, its definitely a kind of protection, right.
By the way, sometimes its stunning, when I see some turkish here, where Dshingis definitely left his traces. . .I usually guess their origin wrong then(I often take them for example for more modern Eurasians, which in their old way, they are, on the other side. Thus its not so wrong after all), but they seem to like it (and are often especially beautifull).

If we originated from same ancestor why do we look so different?
If we originated from Africa than we probably were all black in the beginning. Now why did a black man willingly gone to cold climate where sun is extremely low like in north Europe and lose all melanin? I think he would preferably chose Mediterranean region. If he stayed in Mediterranean region I doubt he would lose much of tan because of hot summers. Thing just don't add up.

I think that Evolution theory is false. Black, white and Asian race existed from very start. We are all human beings but there are differences. Why? I dont know. Maybe because its just how things are. Diversity of life, life mystery...

Maybe, you know everybody is different (yes we heard that a lot already), we are were the same in the very beginning of the earth.
Anyway, like ZenkaiPower said that he didn't believe in that theory, i Do believe in the evolution Theory. Because The way people look is half genetic and half where do we live.

If his Theory is right, we were all kinda like monkeys first. Monkey's are dark animals. (The Most not al of them)
Some went to other climats, some stayed.
The ones who stayed lost hair bit by bit and stayed black.
The ones who went to other climats like Europe turned whiter (because it wasn't that warm.)

That exactly the same with eyes i guess.
But, i can't explain that.

They did go to colder regions, give me time, then I can find the map of the already known routes for you. Also some american DNA researchers offered pretty detailed informations, if you send them your DNA material, which way your own roots came.
The only tricky part in this seems to be the asians in the game, because they lately also found very old "humans" there, and some do not think, it has come via african thread, but via locally developed apes, for example. But they met there, according to recent DNS researches. (There is a very long and detailed thread in a science forum for this. Let me see, if that one can be found again, I suppose so. You may find it interesting! Only I need a few more days.

In the long run, same with plants and for example animals, they often loose certain inputs, if they are no longer of use or need or on demand for reproduction, or the food does vary or the soil etc. Nothing new about that at all, by the way, you see it everywhere. Thats exactly what creates the diversity. It does not contradict at all.
I wish, my father (Dr. rer. nat.)would still be alive, he knew a lot more about this. . .

I just wanted to explain how first man being black had to go in area where sun is weak and stay there for long period of time to lose all melanin.
This is what puzzles me. When first man migrated from Africa he came to Mesopotamia region(middle East). Some of them probably decided to stay there no doubt, that region is great for agriculture and weather is perfect. Sun is strong there most of the year. Black man would still be black there even if 100,000 years go by.

That is my reasoning and I cant believe in standard models because they just don't make sense to me.
