FLCL (JP:Furi Kuri, US: Fooly Cooly)

...in a box? with a fox? with whipped cream all over?

FLCL was an interesting experience, if not intense. *was completely clueless 95% of the time*
Expect nothing less from the demented minds at Gainax!
It's DEATH in a Taro kinda way!

it was cool!

I need to buy the anime though on dvd. i don't like that mutilated abomination on adult swim....:) but it gives me a taste.

The first time I saw FLCL was this past summer on Cartoon Network on Adult Swim. It was the first episode and I instantly fell in love with it. Everything about the show is awsome. The characters, the animation, the music. The characters are unforgetable like the protagonist, Naota, or the house maid, Haruko, and one of my favorites, Naota's dad, Kamon. The animation is cool. Like in the first and sixth episode they switch styles to manga. Or when it goes to a south park style for a while. Another instant love for me was the ending credit's music by The Pillows. It's so catchy. I think they do some music during the show but I'm not sure. There's pleanty to laugh about in FLCL. That's another plus but saddly its only 6 episodes (not something to smile at since it's so awsome). I encourage anyone who is a fan of this kind of stuff like Cowboy Bebop to look into this show.

I love the music and animation of the show. Th plot and the characters personalities have something left to be desired. :(

Yea that show is extra tight! I was trippin out that episode the bump showed up on his head. I was wilding out!

It is truly one of the greater comedies ever to exist. I mean, Excel Saga i almost as good, but longer. Plus they do try to develop characters in their intros. which gives them reason to scerw with ya. Ok, enough bout Excel :P
FLCL is awesome, even though I didn't know The Pillows did othersogns. Maybe I should search more next tie... I still love how Haruka decided to intrude upon Naota's perosnal life as well as be a housemaid. By the way, I never saw ep 6. what was wrong with the giant fat cat that Haruka was talking to in ep 2?

The pillows are the band you hear most of the time in FLCL, also did any one cach the message on the cig ? " NEVER KNOWS BEST "

Prior to FLCL I looked at anime with fright and disgust. Then I caught it on adult swim. I've been hooked on anime ever since.
FLCL is about growing up, really. It's just so dreamy. Completely insane and out of control anime. Of course, I had to order the DVD. I also ended up buying the Pillows CD. It sucks being a poor anime-addict.
