Finding Japanese Music Online

Hi there people. My father is ill in hospital and bored, so he asked me if I could get him an Ipod and fill it with some things to listen. He asked for a variety of things, but I need help with a couple of things. In particular he wants to listen to Minyo (is it also called Kiyokoku?) and maybe some Japanese news programs. Can anybody point me to some of those, maybe some famous singers names that I can search and download?

Minyo is the music category for traditional Japanese folk songs from various part of the country, so there aren't any special singers associated with them. There are quite a few found in YouTube.

There are so many famous Japanese-pop artists.
For example,you can search "Mr.Children","southern all stars","YUI","aiko","GReeeeN","Saito Kazuyoshi","Judy and Mary"and"Arashi".
But I'm 20 years old and these Artists are popular in particular among young people.So I'm sorry if these music are not your father's like.
