I bought a shiso plant at the Hollywood farmers' market a couple of weeks ago, and the plant is growing very fast and making large leaves. I have had it in restaurants before but cannot remember the exact dishes, and I have never made anything with it before.
What is your favorite way to use it? Is it just a garnish, or should it be used somewhat like basil? I think I had it with a yuzu-wasabi sauce for sushi at Paiche Restaurant in Marina Del Rel - maybe I need to go back there, but I could not find it on their on-line menu. I have a fair amount of fruit on my yuzu tree, and so I can use that, if it is part of a recipe.

Thanks! Those recipes look good - especially the pasta ones. I'm having sushi this evening, and I think I will add some of the leaves to the plates.
I went by Paiche restaurant in Marina Del Rey this afternoon, and it was no longer there and a new restaurant had taken its place .

Wrap it around chunks of boneless chicken before breading and deep-frying.
