english to japanese without characters???

Hi,

Just started learning a bit of Japanese via Audio.

Question - Is there any English to Japanese dictionaries (ideally one on iPhone) that do not have Japanese characters for the translated section? What I would really like is the Japanese prononciation for the word.

Example - When I have learnt a few Japanese words/phrases to say (not read), but then forget them and want to look them up, I really need the non-Japanese-character result from the dictionary lookup.

Go to iTunes and search for "kotoba!" thats a dictionary that is using both characters and roman letters.

with this application I'm noting that when I search for the word "understand" that I get quite a lot of hits back, even if I put the setting for frequently used words only. And then I have to search for the results to find the Japanese word I'd learnt (but forgot). Just wondering whether this would be a normal set of results for a Japanese word search, or would I be better off with a application that has a simpler search (maybe less words)?
