Dear native English speakers,
would you check my sentences, please?

3. I tried to throw the ball as far as possible.

4. That song by Michael Jackson goes, "Heal the world. Make it a better place for you and for me and the entire human race".

[Should I use "obesity" instead of "overeating"? I'd like to use "overeating" because it appears in the text.]

15. I've promised to finish the task by Friday, but it's going to be quite a challenge.
(promise to ~ = ~すると約束する task = 仕事,作業)

Thanks in advance.

Most are correct. But I have issues with 3, 11, and 14.

3. I tried to throw the ball as far as possible.
This is correct. But a more fluent way to say it is, "I tried to throw the ball as far as I could."

11. Global warming is a major problem to the world.
Global warming is a major problem in the world.

14. Overeating is a major health problem in Japan as well as in the U.S.
Both "overeating" and "obese" are correct. The two meanings are different.
Overeat = 食べ過ぎる (?)
Obese = 太っている (?)

11b Global warming is a major problem to everyone on Earth.
11c Global warming is a major problem to people all over the world.
11d Global warming is a major problem to people around the world.

I assume you want to use the "correct English" form so we need to use "for".

These are all correct.

11b Global warming is a major problem for everyone on Earth.
11c Global warming is a major problem for people all over the world.
11d Global warming is a major problem for people around the world.

Best choice: Global warming is a major problem for everyone on Earth.
Second best choice: Global warming is a major problem for everyone in the world.

Thanks for the help. Do American people also say "Global warming is a major problem to everyone on Earth"?
