Dojo captain translation

Hi all,
I'm looking for written Japanese for Dojo captain. I would like to have a patch so it can be ironed on a karate suit.

Is there anything I could use that is shorter than this

The military rank of "captain" is 大尉 (tai-i) but that sounds very much like a military ranking.
Well, it doesn't just "sound like" a military ranking, it is, in fact, a military ranking - so that is why I don't recommend it as an option.
