Dirty looks.

men are greedy, thats all
they grouchy because now they have to share the women in japan with yet another foreign person - jizzy said it best -- he don't need no friends babee they just try to peel him from his
just because people leave their country doesn't mean they don't take their country's ignorance with them
i get harassed by somebody from the middle east 1 out of 5 times i'm in tokyo
the safest thing to do is just to ignore them, because the japanese police will either throw both parties in jail or the one with the least skill speaking japanese...

But these Japanese men will have lovedolls that are better than the realdolls that Abyss Creation makes. Why not import lots of foreign women to Japan like Russian? See how many Japanese men will date non Asian men. This should break down Xenophobia in Japan.

Kind of a bummer my post is under the above incomprehensible attempt...

I really liked the talk of WA. And i'd like to add that part of the antagonistic looks are of:

1. Envy...any foreigner that pulls that "i was here before you" superior air is actually thinking (subconsciously) : "Man, i wish i was where he is", because they got it so bad.

2. Denfense Mechanism...i.e. you are trespassing on prime hunting ground (sexual and professional) and are the enemy.

3. Disgust...this is a complicated one...he feels irritated that YOU look so weird ( perhaps projecting his own fears that he appears to be a loser...) Or disgust from the simple realisation that he must look as silly as you do..a true unworldly alien.

4. illusionist...he is pissed that you have shattered his illusion...i.e. he really thought and felt that he was blending in successfully... until you tried to get his attention-however subtlely

I've noticed something while ive been here in japan and its this: Whenever i see another person not of ethnic japanese origin, gaijin, for a more lamen term, i get a dirty look, that kinda look as if they suspect you of nicking something small and un-important they put down, but arent sure they can openly accuse you.
I get this pretty much everytime i am spotted by another gaijin, its odd, i mean, i see and am seen by gaijin all the time when im in my home country, but for some reason since ive been here, when im spotted, im given a look, not a passing glance, not even a kinda look thats "hey another white-boy, interesting but ohwell" no i get the kinda look that speaks more like "what the hell are YOU doing here?" as if somehow ive insulted them by my very presence.
So does anyone else get these dirty looks from other foreigners in japan?, or am i just paranoid?...lol.
😌

I have never experienced that in all the 15 years I've been here. Maybe next time you feel as though you're getting that kind of reception, you should go one step further and say " Hi" and give them a big smile! You'll probably be pleasantly surprised to find that they are in fact very friendly and amiable people, just unaware of their facial "droop" or wearing their stress on the outside. Perhaps it's a Tokyo thing....LOL
