YAH! Dir en grey I love them all so much excially Kyo and Shinya, I seem to relate to them both...
Well my fav songs have to be Cage(that was the fist song I heard form them by acciedently downloading the PV), I love Egnirys Cimredopyh(boy i had had a weird thing happen when listening to this song, sitting in bad in the dark and when kyo sings the part with the cat looking at him I looked up to see a cat looking at me through my window, scared me half to death )
I also like Taiyou no Ao, [KR] Cube, Riyuu, Audrey, Raison D'etre, 304, Gousitu, Hakusi No Sakura, gyakujou tannou keloid milk, Children, The Final, and Machiavellism

tsumi to batsu: it's disturbing but its great
Cage: lovely bass
304 goushitsu, hakushi no sakura: beautiful lyrics and catchy
zan: just uniqe and awsome
berry: it's a catchy song but the lyrics are sad
the domestic ****** family: i dunno its a weird song but i love it
jessica: very catchy and my name is jessica although the song has nothing to do with meT_T
the iii d empire: i dunno i just like it

my fav member of this band is kyo cuz i just love his lyrics and voice, it's beautiful and also i love Toshiya cuz he's hot^_~ and a very good bassist. I like how Shinya drums so hard and still maintains his hair XD Kaoru and Die are pretty good guitarists too

my favorite would have to be filth and cage...the pv for cage rawks XD rawwwr totchi's guitar solo is so fuckalicious -drool- @_@ damn that guy is good o.o id like to bite him and his guitar and embryo is also good as well as the final.

My favorite Diru song was Zan for the longest time because I loved Kyo's maniacal laughing. Recently though, I haven't been able to get Machiavellism out of my head, even though it strays slightly from Dir en grey's usual sound. Other favorites include: Ain't Afraid To Die, Obscure, Marmalade Chainsaw, Mr. Newsman, Cage, I'll, and Wake. It's safe to say that I love all the songs ^.^" And they just get better as they go! Obscure has always reminded me of the band KoRn, for some reason.

As for my favorite member, it's gotta be Die. Kyo is cool, but Die just looks so friggin' awesome with a muzzle. Yeah man.

Yeah, Machiavellism is REALLY GREAT.

It's surprisingly replaced Umbrella as my favorite song, which reigned from when the Six Ugly minialbum came out to when the saku single came out =D

I can't wait for my copy of the "code of Vulgar[ism]" tour DVD to get here >___<

Hopefully it'll be here within the next week @___@

I had to have first press, cause I get a nifty extra DVD~~~

Gyaaaa.... Me too.. I can wait my "code of Vulgar[ism]" tour DVD too. I've ordered the limited version. And it makes me broke... But it's Ok.. It's worth it. Hahahah but I hope I can get it soon enough. Kyaaaa Can't wait any longer...

Personally, I like Drain Away, 24 Cylinders and Mushi.

Toshiya is an awesome bass player.
And Shinya a living drumming machine.
Otherwise, they are average (I can play the guitar stuff *g*), though Kyo has a very characteristic voice.

i'd have to agree with you on the songs, and that totchi and shinya are awesome, but Kaoru and Die aren't average in my opinion. the stuff isn't hard, but they put their hearts into that music and kaoru's solos kick ***.

kyo has an awesome voice ^_^ it's better than any i've heard so far, although I haven't really dove into jrock as much as you probably have

I like raison detre and cage, which I find shocking because I don't like Dir en Grey's music all that much. I think Shinya has a lot to do with that.

dislike Shinya? Wow! That's a new one, I've heard Kaoru, Kyo, Totchi, Die, but never Shinya...XD

I don't know why I don't like Shinya. When I first saw a picture of them, the first thing I thought was "I don't like the skinny guy." I like all of Dir en Grey except Shinya. I dislike Shinya almost to the point of hate.

I don't like his drumming all that much. He's only impressed me with his drumming once and that was during the song Aoi Tsuki.

But of course, I'm one of those people's who believe there will never be another drummer as great as Yoshiki. Everyone else is just so-so compared to Yoshiki.

It's weird, I know, to just not like a person without a reason. But I really can't stand Shinya. I could like Dir en Grey a whole lot more if Shinya wasn't part of the band.

maybe it's the skinny girliness? XD yeah, it IS kind of wierd that you hate Shinya so much (that in itself) without reason, but, hey, there are a lot of wierd things out there ^_^

PV = Promotional Video. Its the same as a music video...^-^ I love Diru and X-Japan!! But if you want a SHORT vocalist go for Yomi of Nightmare! The are another of the bands I enjoy and are often compared to Diru, but I dont really see the similarities other than in appearance...

Yeh! It hurts my ears to hear someone even purpose that Shinya not be in the band!! i am a hopeless Shinya fan! I think he is beautiful and a wonderful drummer! :sorry:Im sorry that someone dislike him so much! I suppose it is alright since Shinya would probably feel the same...(no offense!!) I hope that you will still love and support the band even with that opinion of Shinya!!

As of yet, I haven't heard any Dir en Grey songs that showcase Shinya's potential talent many speak of. His drumming sounds very repetitive to me. Recommend something.

Tsumi to Batsu...

...and MASK are all songs I can think of that showcase his ability well. He does timing changes very well ^^

His drumming style goes well with Dir en grey's music, so it fits and sounds quite all right to me.
