Dir en grey

rofl I like her, she is really down to earth. XDD I like how she videoed it, that was nice. ^_^

Coshh, yeah, a lot of people seem to be complaining about the fans. Many of them have good stuff to say, but after a while it just gets ridiculous. Of course, if you're a fan you would like to see the band in person, and be upset if some people got to who weren't supposed to... but some people call them complaining idiots. Retelling your story with enthusiasm isn't necessarily made-up sick fantasies about getting it on with a certain bandmember... it could just mean reliving the absolutely amazing experience of your first concert ever... like me. (I felt so lucky to be there. It's an experience I'll never forget.) *cough* Moving on...

I think people are just using extreme examples to overgeneralize all fans. I believe there is a respectful 'silent majority' out there, that just don't bother to post their thoughts online. Sure, there are the scum who battle over who knew them first and how long they were fans, who write nasty yaoi fanfiction about them, who lust after the poor boys and spin disgusting stories, etc etc etc. But not all fans are like that. Just because fans might comment on how nice the band looks doesn't mean they're automatically horny fangirls in for the band's bodies, and just because fans ARE talking about their OWN experiences at the concert and their great vantage spot in the venue doesn't mean they're jealously comparing who had the better show. There are lots of aspects of being a fan... music being the main but not the only.

Bands aren't anything without their fans. Well, alright, they could be indies or garage bands without fans... but they certainly would not be what they are today, and come so far musically and personally. There are bad fans and the good. Most people at some point may have been a shallow fangirl/boy but caught themselves and have now grown and matured. Very likely yourself. Don't think you're above the rest... we're not perfect and we're quite capable of that. But we can change.

So just chill people... not everyone is out to rape the band, y'know. Some fans might be upset that they didn't get to go, and complaining about bad fans makes them feel better. But that doesn't help anything, in fact it worsens the hopes to restore the greatness of this Dir en grey thread everyone keeps saying has deteriorated.

[/end of speech] Sorry it's so long... I just had to get that out. And I don't mean to stab at anybody... I'm just sick of the fan-bashing. Happy thoughts, fellow Dir en grey fans.

Didn't mean to sound like I was b*tching, man, but suddenly I'd just had it up to here *gestures* with hearing more discussion about the fans than I do about Dir en grey! (And I don't necessarily mean here - just in general.) ☝

On a more positive note - a rather good WTD review, for those of you who haven't seen it. OK, so it says they look like "a bunch of transvestites" (what?! someone's been looking at old photos ), but the rest is good...

new info on their site and new site layout

EDIT: oh and the l.a pictures up

Yikes!!! I feel loved! Thank you!

I know what you mean, BB, about it being like a piece of Dir en grey history. The first time they played in the US. Honestly, it must have been a really moving experience to be a part of that. I guess one of the awesome things about going to any concert is the feeling of cameraderie and unity with the other fans there, and never more strongly when they are a foreign band playing for the first time in your country and you are only too aware of the importance of showing your collective support to the band themselves - and also to industry people, because, as a group of fans, it's your presence that's helping them to make their mark on the music scene in your country. With any concert you go to, of any band, there's going to be a share of other attenders that annoy you by their attitudes or behaviours, whether it's Dir en grey, Iron Maiden or... or... Backstreet Boys! But when it comes to the crunch, you're all shooting for the same goal.

I'm damn sure I'm going to see Dir en grey live one day, but I can imagine that their first concerts ever in US are quite unlike any other experience.

Blitz 5 days had Kyo in THE hair style, yes? +_+ You know the very very very very sexy hair style.

For me Kyo's sexyist hair style would have to be the Farrah Faucet hair of Final Ugly Kingdom or whatever. Although my favorite look is actually the Saku Look (I guess I am weird right now) I actually had a lot of complaints about how Kaoru's hair looks now But now I love it, and it is currently for me one of his better looks. Kaoru is the one to me who has the most hit and miss looks. I liked Shinya with the braids, and Toshiya with his Blitz hairstyle with the black and I think pink or red frosting. And Die I prefer his bright spiky red hair, but his hair now is hot.

And their I am rambling about hair. As for being a fan. I don't consider myself a fangirl cause I say oh he looks good like this or I prefer this to this. Whats wrong with liking the way a person looks? As long as I like the music equally or more so, I don't see a problem.

Yeah, the Farrah Faucet hair was what I was implying. I was thinking of the wrong tour I guess. XD

You aren't weird, I absolutely adore the Saku look.

I was watching some sort of old comment Shinya did (it was in black and white). Anyways is it just me or does he have a lisp?

haha, was it the Taiwan message. Yea he does seem to have a lisp Shinya Despu

Very well said Nana. I can't agree with you more. I don't understand how people automatically think someone is a fangirl just because we say so&so looks good...or hot. It's true.. They are hot.. It's just like seeing everyday people as well. If someone is good looking and I'm with some friends.. I'll point it out.. There was this really cute Japanese (I think) boy at the LA concert and he was all dressed up and looked really good. He had a pretty gorgeous stomach as well and I made that known to him. So does that make me a fangirl to him? Blah. I guess I'm just rambling now..

The guy on the right is the one I'm talking about. He seemed a bit stuck up at first when I told him I liked his make-up but after I told him that he had a sexy/beautiful stomach.. He turned beet red like a schoolgirl and smiled. LOL. Ohh dear cutesy boy with the gorgeous stomach.. Oh how I want to like your belly. Err... You guys have heard too much. *runs and hides under the couch* Note: I'm probably fantasizing about some 16yr old boy.. -death- He looks soo young and I feel so dirty now.. T__T

Yea it was the taiwan message and the more I watch the clip the more I can hear his lisp. I wonder if the band members force him to say words with the letter "S" for kicks cuz I know I would.

Yea I can't wait to see them again I had an awesome time at the show. It is my perdection they will be back next year. They are going on a tour called Inward Scream which will probably be the title of their next album and I am guessing they will make another stop in the U.S

Nice.. I'm gonna have to meet you damnit. Hide, Kaine and Drain were the only people from here that I met. They were able to get a spot in line right behind me too. Next time though. ^__~

Anyways, yay it's 11:33AM on March 31st in Japan and I just got done sending Toshiya a fanmail wishing him a happy birthday

When you know you have lost it:

I just forked over 75 bucks preordering Tour5 It Withers and Withers (limited edition)

Yes, I have lost it. And I am proud.

Lost it? I don't think I ever had it! ☝

Happy birthday Toshiya! :valentine:

God, you lot made me laugh... That guy is indeed hot!
You feel old?! How do you think I feel?! At my age I'm practically a f**king cradle-snatcher... hehe...

Some of my favourite Toshiya pictures in honour of his birthday!

This pic has an irresistable attraction, and it's not the pink floral scarf:

Natural... <3

One of the reasons some people pine for the old VK days...

... but I like Toshiya looking manly...

Right, I totally love Toshiya looking more manly, but yes I do at times pine for the VK days and his and the other members showing off some thighs!
Well, except for Kaoru! Darn it! I have yet to see his thighs and since they're not VK anymore, I don't think I'll ever get to see them!
If anyone has a pic of him showing off some thigh, post them! share the wealth, lmao
-loves on Toshiya some more since it's his special day- hehe

@Champloo don't feel bad, I too have spent $75 well earned dollars on that DVD. But I have also found out that they have increased my commission YEA that means more money on J-Rock.

@ nana007 and miss megumi don't feel bad I spent $300 on the a knot version of it withers and withers then I also preordered the limited edition of that dvd *_* no I don't have a problem *burys all of her Diru stuff from everyone*

Anyways, I might have a job making $12 an hour and that'll mean more jrock stuff for me to spend my money on when I have no room for anymore as it is.

@ Joy o.o!... *coughs* ahem I have those same exact glasses.

Okay, I just did a general google search for you, like I said earlier I really can't check them out for you cause they are blocked but here are some shopper services, you can look them over and decide which one to use

www.mailorderjapan.com
www.bid-service.jp/home.html
www15.ocn.ne.jp/~ebay/snipe/Snipe.html
www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/
www.akibado.com/auction.html
Crescent-shop.com
Rinkya

Now that I look at this I think the ones that I personally use is Crescent Shop and Akibado, but you can check and see which one you prefer (or is cheaper) although the really really cheap ones can take a long time to ship like 1-2 months. While the more expensive ones you tend to get your item in about 4 wks.

Well.. after reading some stuff on Batsu.. I pose a question to you all (even though I know a lot of you guys also post on there.. ;P). Do you guys think Dir en grey gets down with the groupie-sex? Just thought I'd throw that out there for discussion. ^__~ And to make things more interesting.. Would YOU get down with the groupie-sex. LOL. I'm bored and drunk tonight, so hopefully some of you are on tonight as well... ^__^
