@Butterfly Kami: Kyo may have talent in acting, but in his live's he dun hit many tones..... it just dun fit with the backrounds........ I dunno know if he makes that on purpose, but it sounds crooked. ;P you dun always have to listen to someone's music just because he/she sings good.... you think many will listen to them, if they dun have the image of visual-kei band? ^_~ (<<sorry, kyo *gg*)
 
Many would listen to them even if they didn't have the visual kei image. I know of plenty of people. And I wasn't saying that they just listen to Dir en grey because of Kyo's voice... but most people don't like to listen to someone who can't sing worth crap. And you can't really blame him for singing bad in lives because he is headbanging and all that and that would throw anyone off.
 
ok, he IS crazy on lives, he IS wild, he should keep that, sure. but thats really no excuse. I also know plenty who go crazy on stage....... anyway, lets stop that quarrel now, I know I've started it, but I simply told you whats on my mind........ can I ease you're mind if I say, that one of my fav songs is raison d'etre?

I love all of them in their own weird way. But numero uno is Kaoru-sama!! Die makes me think kinky thoughts (what with all that bondage he wears);Toshiya is hot on bass; Shinya is so pretty it's scary; and the little one Kyo is like my pet toy. My buddies say I'm more like Kyo, but I dunno know...I do tend to go "a little" overboard on the makeup.
And you gotta love their clothes! Sugoi...
But the thing I adore most about DeG is their MUSIC! I fell in love with the music before I had actually seen them. AND I MUST SEE THEM.

I love Kyo! He is my favorite. My favorite songs are:

Obsecure
Raison Detre
 
my opinion is that kyo sounds and looks cool. his voice and style to do things are absolutely good, but as i said that's my opinion and if i like i like then^^ anyway. i heard that kyo is vocalist because he can't play. why he can't play, is that for example playing guitar is too difficult to him. but i love him and his voice anyway, so that doesn't matter really.

dir en grey's songs are very good. yokan is awsome, even my friends who don't really like jrock have liked it
 
Yeah, I read somewhere that Kyo tried playing the guitar but couldn't so he decided to sing. ^^ Good thing, too. Hehehe. Yokan rules! I read a really sad fanfic with the title as Yokan... ;.;
 
Yokan was one of the first songs I heard from DeG!!:sing: And Zan too.~~~> kinda scary at first-nyo!

I have (mostly) all of their songs on my computer and so far only one of their albums - Kisou. Very good album ya! *continuing to purchase more MORE I SAY*
Favs have got to be:
Cage, Yokan, 304 goushitsu...no sakura, Ain't Afraid to Die, Hydra, Domestic F***er Family, Bottom of the Death Valley, Mr.Newsman, Filth, Embryo, Keloido Milk, Macabre, Raison Detre, Zan, Yurameki, and Obscure from recent album-nyaaaa!!! I think Deity is pretty cool though very weird intro.

Their music, and image, are both what stood out for me. Someone said I remind them of Shinya in my shy girly-boy way... >.> Oh wells, Shin's cute ^^ Toshiya's probably my idol though.
Kyo's energetic alright! To quote who ever said it first (soz, i dun remember where i first heard it) "Kyo's voice is great for screeching, screaming, vomiting, rasping, crying, and wailing, but when it comes to actual singing, he falls a bit short." I couldn't imagine a DeG with a different sort of vocalist anyway. And that, along with their visual image, may be what got them noticed.

Ugh. Kyo dosnt have a perfect singing voice.... but he dosnt need too... look where DEG started out.... Look at gauze and macabre, a lot of that RAW sound. More of a Metal band than anything, and how often do Metal bands sign. (Sorry i just have issues with this.... )

I think so too (and...I really like his voice-it doesn't matter if it's a perfect singing voice or not...)
When I saw Dir en grey for the first time it was like a little shock (I didn't know much about Visual Kei and just thought:"What's that?!!!")Now I like their style and their music veeeery much-Kaoru is my favourit DNG member (but it doens't mean I dislike the others ^^ they're all great )

I find Kyo's voice to be perfect. And he can make noises that I've never heard anyone do before. XD
 
Hi, I like Dir en grey, and I will download all their songs! Yesterday I found Vulgar, very destroy-music in the spectaculas Kyo's voice! But other songs are so pretty, like Umbrella or Mask... W Dir en grey.
 
I like their sound on and after the 6 Ugly album.

Their other albums were, sonically, too weak for me.

But I've noticed people liking the 6 Ugly album is a rarity...
 
Its weak by comparison of what I was raised on; black metal.

Pair up the GAUZE album next to Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia, and you'd say its weak too.

I don't think,DNG sound is "too weak"...But I accept it when a black metal fan says that...(I dont't know-maybe it sounds a bit weak if you compare it to things like Slipknot or Korn or something...)However,I like it^^

I downloaded a DNG clip few minutes ago...This one where Toshiya and Shinya kiss...oh.my.god. That's so cuuuuuuute! (real fanservice ^____^)

I have a clip to where DEG are drunk and high in a club. Toshiya dogpiles Shinya... Toshiya and Shinya kiss... Toshiya rubs Kyo's chest... w00t! ^^

Dir en Grey chord charts. I would like to try playing some of their music , but I can't seem to find ANYTHING. Please tell me if you know of somewhere I can find it.
 
Ayashi, I get most of my jrock downloads off WinMX. I think that program has the most jrock on it. I have currently...12 deg clips. I like collect them, lol

Kaoru is sekuuuushi! He is definately droolworthy. How old is he? Isn't he the oldest member of deg?
 
I love Dir en Grey! They are the first Jrock band I ever listened to, and they got me into the whole Jrock music scene! *Arigatou! *

I really love Kyo, He's my fav! Then die, and kaoru....I love them all! (Oooh, but Kyo is just too kawaii!! *Crap! He'd kill me if he knew I said that!* And he is a great lyricist and vocalist! *awe*)

I actually cannot think of a song by them I have disliked. *thinks* Nope, none! (I love DeG, they are my fav band! And the styles they present are so *unique, awesome, insert praising word here*!)
