haha people think that way of me too! I kinda like it though cuz people never suspect a thing from you, but then it get annoying sometimes. My old classmates thought i was like a 14 year old when they first met me but i was actually older than them. Then they were sutprised to learn that i enjoy music like diru's. Don't get me started on concert lol. even my friends were like "what? where did all that energy come from?!" haha

@Everyone who went to a Diru live this summer YOU'RE SO LUCKY!!!! I hope that everything went well (well duh they did! XD)

Nobodys knows about Diru in Thailand......it's sad ....people gave me really horrified looks when they heard me singing/whispering along to Grief....my aunt thought that the music I lisnted to was very scary too..... XD

@ Semi~sweet it sounds like you've been through alot...
People tend to avoid me... they think I'm going to kill everyone just cause I dress in all black, don't talk too much and listen to music like Diru and the GazettE....they think that lyrics are scary while I think the lyrics are deep and romantic (I have a weird definition of romantic XD)

OH MY GOSH I AGREE!

I have been listening to nothing but Dir en grey and Rammstein lately, and yes, their lyrics and bizarre diversity are very much comparable!
 
Is this comparison coming from Kerrang! by any chance? They likened them to Slipknot too at one stage... I don't actualy mind Slipknot as a band and have great respect for Corey Taylor and Joey Jordeson... but they are nothing like Dir en grey. That isnt as bad as the MCR comparison. That likening is a marketing technique and nothing else... MCR = very big at the moment... anything likened to them is also goin to do well... even if it's nothing like them!

I can see where youre coming from with the Rammstein thing, definately. They are one of the only forign language bands to have achieved that much sucsess in other countries... and the way Dir en grey are goin they will do just as well.

Actually German magazine review J-rock better than English language ones!!
 
hehehe Slipknot gave me nightmares once.....I dunno they really scared me....just those masks....but I haven't heard their music yet

i really like slipnot....they give my friend nightmares but then again thats why i wont show her Dir en grey hahaha shes very sensitive awww but she's really cool
 
Yeah, I knew that J-rock is doing quite well in Germany, they have better articles and photoshoots in their magazines. From what I've seen.
 
J-rock is practically non-existant here. It sucks.

omg I had the wierdest dream ever! I dream that I found a Shinya clock....it was litterally a mini Shinya figure that was holding a clock....it was so strange (but very real looking)! I remember thinking "I'm going to take a picture of this and show it to my friends on Jref" XD I'm such a dork I then woke up, looked around for my Shinya clock and got upset

So anyway I heard that the Kerrang review of the Deg performance was really bad. You guys read it?

the Kerrang review didn't someone post that up in here or was that another site i read it on (im confused) but i did read it and the review made me upset i listened to nothing but diru for a few days after i read the review

RevengeBabyYeah NO! I'm shocked!! They gave them good (ish) reviews up-until now!

My friend was there (I would have been but was in Germany ^_^) and she said it was an awesome gig... possibly topping Despairs Ray... and coming from here that says a lot as the Despairs Ray gig was amazing! I'll see if I can find out if any one back home has bought it... or get them to read it in the shops.

English magazines are so bad me and group of friends seriously are considering starting our own... where we give honest and decent reviews that aren't presented just to boost a bands popularity.

We have no magazines on J-rock or Japanese music in general....well there IS Purple Sky....but they don't sell it in stores here...you'd have to order it. Some anime magazines do small articles on Japanese bands....but rarely J-rock and even more rarely bands that I like and the length of the article is about half a paragraph

So Kerrang is a music magazine or something???
