Dir en grey

Damn, seeing the posts about the unplugged stuff really made me want to listen to it, but as I scan my iTunes I find I haven't added it yet. I must be loosing my mind. Time to find it elsewhere for now.

Also yeah I've got to agree with some of the posts above. This forum went WAY too fan girl for a few pages. I love the occasional pics and am used to a scream here and there but dear lord.

Also anyone going to the new york show in June?

Actually, there was no arguement going on. Just because Saishu and I commented that we thought the pictures and fangirl stuff got to be a little much doesn't mean there was any hostility on either side.
See? XD Everybody's friends here.

that's nice to know ^_^
i'd been to a couple of forums where users split cos of quarrels.. really got on my nerves cos when i tried to salvage the situation i got pulled into their quarrels... after that they split themselves into groups & i really couldnt be bothered anymore.

& yea, its just like IkaruJaki said.. the occasional scream is fine with me too.
well for me, pics are great cos i'd love to look at pictures of the group whose musical talents i admire. i just feel like something's missing though if i didnt know how they looked like especially when i listen to their songs all the time. its nice to see them in a new look or some new costumes from photo shoots or PVs & concerts from time to time. cept that Diru prolly wont have new costumes cos they've stopped doing visual. xD
but that doesnt matter, they're still great.

I also don't mind SOME pictures occasionally, but sometimes it just becomes a mess to scroll through. Also, I sometimes am using my school's wireless, which does not have the best connection, and having more than like 3-4 medium/large images on a page makes my browser go "UH NO, GTFO" at me. XD
Anyway, not trying to run this into the ground or anything, just wanted to make sure we're all on the same page here. Looks like we are, though, so yay!
IkaruJaki, you missing your unplugged songs? D: That makes me sad. And no, I won't be in New York but I'll be at the Minneapolis (Maplewood) show...

totchi looks good with those bunny ears

Never said he didn't! Just the first time I'd ever seen it. XD

I admit, I haven't heard the unplugged songs either. But then again...I also haven't heard most of MoaB. >.< I refuse to buy the US copy (all my others are japanese...I'm anal like that), and I don't have 30 bucks for the japanese yet. But soon!

Actually, you might want to pick up the US copy of Marrow just to give the guys the support here. I have both Japanese and US copies of Withering to Death, Marrow of a Bone, and the Agitated Screams of Maggots single. I want them to do well in as many countries as possible, you know?

I found THE cutest video of Shinya. Don't know if it's been posted before but yeah..

yea, i know what you mean about people taking stuff on forums too personally... in person, you can say things with inflections and sarcasm, but when you just type it out, your meaning can be miscontrued.

and i found another totchi bunny picture... i hadn't seen this one before, so here:

and that shinya vid makes me happy! <3 that whole series of videos is adorable... die is so cute taking a picture of the old man, and kyo's is probably the best... ever. i haven't found totchi's though... *yea, this post has no substance ^_^*

oh, and i looked on ticketmaster, but i couldn't find the tickets to the deftones/diru show in San Francisco... mer?

since some of you guys are still discussing the new album, here's my take after 2 months....

namamekashiki ansoku...(piano ver) is the best song in the album. the rest is sort of a blur to me other than namamekashiki, clever sleazoid, conceived sorrow...honestly i've only listened to the album from track 1 til the end for like twice......to me i just don't have the interest to play the whole disc....i tend to pick out songs for this release.....

^WOW DUDE WE HAVE LIKE THE SAME NAME!!! *trippyyyy*

Concieved Sorrow is pretty much amazing... i cried the first time i heard it (i guess i was overwhelmed with the awsomeness of both the song AND a new diru release...) and at first, a lot of the songs blurred together for me... and i kind of felt like they were selling out. but i listened to it anyways, since i hated gauze the first time thru even though it's... gauze, and i love it with all my soul now. after listening a couple times, i tried to listen to something else (because i thought MOAB was getting me depressed) but i just... couldn't. i physically could not listen to anything else for at least a week... even now, the more i listen to it, the more i see its depth and genius. at first i wasn't sure, because with all of diru's releases i see such amazing colors, but with MOAB it was all a dull/blunt black... but as i listened to it, i realized that the colors were definately there, seeping out of the blackness... kind of like when the sun is too bright and you see this blunt dark red and feel dizzy for a moment... it's like that red (well, different colors within the album, but like that consistacy, if colors can have a consistancy... ) sorry i'm speaking in colors... i'm a visual person/synesthesic [is that the right tense?]

anyways, those are my *brief* [ ] thoughts on MOAB... as for favorite tracks, at this moment, ryoujoku no ame, concieved sorrow, namablaaaaaah, ASOM, THE PLEDGE, Rotting Root, and THE DEEPER VILENESS... i'm forgeting something ☝ oh well...

haha another great pic of toshiya lol oh and deftones is coming to my home town but diru wont be joing them im soooo sad

Does anybody by any chance have the translation of the Conceived Sorrow?

Anchyyy u can look at page 258 dakkii's post. post # 6444 to be exact. ^_^

^_^ u're welcome!

i cant get enuff of the acoustic version of conceived sorrow. been playing it over & over on my media player for like.. almost an hour? ><

There is an acoustic version of the song? I didn't know that x)

ah yes.. the acoustic version is just so... depressing? lols.. its great. u should listen to it. somehow alot of people are saying how disappointed they are bout this album and stuff. i cant say that all the songs are good but what i can say is that i really like the album in general.

Yeah i like it a lot too. Dunno why it's said that the songs are not good lol.

I finally managed to listen to Marrow of a Bone too!!
And I have to say I really like it...especially Conceived Sorrow caught my heart straight from the beginning. It's such a touching sound and Kyo's voice makes me shiver. Also Namamekashiki... is a great song!! I like the whole album. I heard a lot of people say that Kyo's voice got worse, but I don't think so. Of course his voice changes but I don't think he can sing worse than on the other albums. I even admire him for reaching those very high pitches (I sing myself and I know how hard it can be to reach high pitches and for a man it must be even more difficult). His voice didn't lose its ability to make the listeners feel his desperate, rage and also sensibility (at least for me^^). I think that this is a good album.
I didn't know that there were any acoustic versions!!!...I have to find them!!

Toto looks really cute with those bunny-ears

to following up what i've said earlier in this page, i think The Pledge acoustic kicks butt too.

it's just that Kyo expresses alot alot alot more emotions in slower songs that doesn't have him screaming throughout.

acoustics man......diru's magic lies in there but they tend to not do it much now.....

Want to see something funny?
...
Imagine Kyo singing Evertime we Touch from Cascada XDDD
I was really bored with my internet-deprived computer =_= So I ripped my Macabre DVD and did this.....Kyo would shoot me and stab me about 458239558 times if he ever saw that XDDD

Hm~ I don't think so.
Of course, your right--- but i think, you are just, when you point Kyo. Because "Diru" haven't got to do anything with those songs.
These three bonus tracks on marrow are really great and they sound very emotional, but it's just... kyo. maybe it's Die or Kao who is playing the Guitar, but it's not all Diru...
You know what I mean?
I think, to say what is Diru and what isn't is very difficult. Because they're able to do both: Calm, slow and touching songs and also depressing, hard, agressive songs... Or they just got both in one like in Dead tree for example.

I just don't think, you can say, that this accoustic versions are Diru, because not everyone of them has a part in it, when you hear it...

And I really adore Marrow of a bone. It's a great album. I think it's a mix of Kisou and Withering~ it sounds really, really good to me~
